Apparently, winning the game against Miami gave TeBLOW a hard on for dudes, because that happened on the field after the game.

On paper, it should be a great game, with the top two teams in the AFC. I'm still not sold on the Patriots defense, in spite of steady improvement. As for the Steelers, in spite of their 5-2 record, it's probably the least intimidating Steelers team I've seen in forever. The Steelers have their five wins against teams that have combined for a whopping 8 wins between them, and have defeated Tavaris Jackson, Curtis Painter, Matt Hasselbeck, Kevin Kolb, and the immortal Blaine Gabbert. This game will definitely be much more of a test for the Steelers to see where their team is than for the Patriots to see where their team is. I hate to say it, but it's not looking like a great schedule of games this weekend. The only other game on the schedule that may even be watchable is Dallas vs. Eagles.

Really, dude? Come on. The Browns? The 49'ers? Really?

When a player owns a team as long as Brady has, then it's safe to say he and Bellichick got the Steelers defense pegged. The Steelers just can't get any pressure on Brady nor can they cover anyone of their wideouts, or tight ends. The Patriots not only have the perfect scheme to beat LeBeau's defense, but also the personal to beat his scheme. I'm 100% comfortable with the Steelers facing ANY other team in the NFL but New England. Until someway, somehow the Steelers figure out to rattle Brady just a hair, then I'm convinced our number will still be had.
The defense remains the same for Pittsburgh so it's nothing new that Brady will see. It will come down to one on one matchups. The only thing different is how the Steelers are going to attack on offense and how they are starting to play solid in areas. Last season when the Pats came in, more than half of the Steelers were ruled out in the middle of the week so atleast this time, the Steelers can prepare with the same guys from last week.
They will probably spread N.E out and maybe break out the no-huddle here so I can see Pittsburgh scoring points. It's up to the defense to try to force Brady into a mistake here or there to have a chance. If not, and if Brady has all day to throw, I'm expecting another beatdown because even though the Steelers offense can gain yardage, they remain far too inconsistent to get into a shootout with Brady.
At this point, I think the AFC is wide open as a conference and the power has definitely shifted to the NFC.

We agree once again. Pittsburgh isn't equipped to win a shoot out with any team, period. Their receivers are very fast (not that stiff Hines) and I suspect the Patriots secondary will give up some big plays. That said, the Steelers defense simply doesn't match up well againt the Patriots, at all. Their scheme is VERY predictable (which is never a good thing against a guy like Belichick and Brady). They have marginal corners who can't play man and a safety (Polamalu) who takes way too many chances, and while that gambling pays off against the Curtis Painters of the world, it burns him against guys like Tom Brady. I'm more interested to see how the Steelers look on Sunday to see if they're just an okay team (like I think they are) or if they're a legit playoff team (which I'm not convinced of). At this point, I think the AFC is wide open as a conference and the power has definitely shifted to the NFC.

You can bust on Hines...but the man is a sure Hall of Famer....I agree with about 80% of what you said though. Ike Taylor is one of best cover corners in the league...if only he could intercept, not just knock balls away.

You do realize that every team (except Houston) the Steelers have played are in the bottom ten in the NFL in total offense, right? This includes the Ravens, who they lost to! That is the reason that they're winning games, in spite of the worse turnover ration in the entire NFL. I'm not saying the Steelers defense is bad. What I am saying is that nobody really knows what they are, given the level of competition they've played, thusfar. I think they have the softest schedule in the entire league, which is never a good thing for a team with playoff aspirations.

Browns opponents are a combined 13-25
Steelers opponents are a combined 16-29
Pretty much identical percentage wise!
