These games are going down to the WIRE. VERY high scoring too. It's exciting, but at the same time I'm YEARNING for the goold-ol' defensive days. Most of these teams we see today have no fucking nads whatsoever when failing to either close or have a truly dominating day (you could say San Francisco, but the fucking Jets are God-awful.) The Seattle/Green Bay game last week was awesome seeing Seattle's defense dominate a very high powered offense.

Miami, to win the game, faced a 4th and 10 with 20 seconds left. All they had to do was defend their own endzone about 25 yards from the line of scrimmage. Playing soft zone, Kolb hits his wideout in the front-corner of the endzone. Arizona ended up winning in O.T. Tannehill threw for over 400 yards. Some nobody had over 240 yards receiving for Miami! Where's the god-damn defense?

Tampa Bay made a monumental comeback, taking the lead by one point with a minute-40 some left. RGIII literally hit WIDE OPEN WR's in the middle of the field as 3 plays easily covered 60 yards of grass. Cundiff, who missed 3 FG's today already, barely made the GW field goal.

If anybody knows the last time the prevent defense actually worked to a defense's advantage, let me know.

In Foxborough, I wouldn't change it but I don't like the Mankins injury when Brady is under fire enough in 2012. I'd rather be wrong when actually going with my gut this week.

Bills over Pats by 7.

Patriots by 3! The most intriguing game of the day is definitely Green Bay versus New Orleans. I have the Saints by a point.

You mean the Packers by a point, right? Good work on going with Green Bay on the pickems instead. They won by a point!

LOL @ Seven Wishes's preemptive meltdown and concession of the Pats season.

All in all, this was a pretty putrid day of games. Yeah, there were some close games, but the stinkers far outweighed the good games. And even some of the close ones were marred by sloppiness (e.g., Cam Newton handing that game to the Falcons by fumbling).

That Eagles/Steelers game will be very interesting this upcoming weekend and they'll play at Heinz in Pittsburgh. An interesting stat is the Eagles first team in NFL history to start off season and win their three games all by a couple points or less.

Any thoughts on the Steelers/Eagles game?

I think it will be a close one.

Damn replacement refs...Wait...Those weren't replacement refs.

Damnit, two of my upset picks let me down by a combined 3 points!
Who would've thunk it? Vick the Pick didn't turn the ball over!
And the Bills have given up 100 points in 2 division games so far. Maybe they should consider demanding a refund from their revamped D.

The Bills were halfway there... and then they remembered they were the team that gave up 48 fucking points to the God-awful Jets! I guess there's no reason why Brady wouldn't be outdone by Sanchez and put up 52!

I thought Miami had Arizona then they decided to not cover their endzone 25 yards away. Tampa made a great comeback and then RGIII went 3 plays with literally nobody in the middle of the field and then Chokediff redeemed himself...barely.

I did have Philly last night, though. I only got one loss on Sunday and Monday night so far.

I see a lot of potential upsets this coming week, but I'll post one bold prediction: Only one team will leave Week 5 undefeated, and yes, it's the most obvious.

The Cards just gave up over 253 YARDS to a single receiver last week, who was catching passes from a rookie QB. Was this an apparition, or a bad omen of things to come for the Cards' secondary? It's a division game, they're on the road, the defense showed some shakiness, and the offense is still inconsistent...this game has letdown written all over it. Rams win. (Take note: The Rams are 0-2 when I choose them to win.)

The Falcons just barely survived thanks to a bunch of last-minute Panthers miscues. How will that translate to a more disciplined Redskins team led by a better QB? Skins win at home.

The Jets have a better team....on the injury report. ...This is the Lock of the Year, nevermind the one week. easy Texans win.

We actually agree. I picked the Rams this morning on the ESPN site. This is actually a great test for the Cardinals, because I'm simply not buying their 4-0 record. If they're for real, they should win this game easily. We shall see.

Rams win, 17-3. I love defensive bloodbaths. It's been missed. 8 sacks on Kolb and hurried and pressured about 90 times. Me, Liam, JFB and Jonny B had the Rams tonight.

Week 5 heading into Sunday- WINS:

1.A YoungJRNY: 38
2.B Liam: 38

Comedian Bill Burr on Tim Tebow and last seasons prediction of Denver going into New England and calling the Giants the most dangerous team going into Green Bay. Couldn't have predicted it better.
