I think you start Schneider in Game 5. But I think they'll go with Bobby Lose and have a quick hook. He is obviously rattled right now. Dude couldn't stop a wrist shot from Stephen Hawking right now.

That's what happens to him, one of his only problems, really. Phenomenal goaltender, but once his cage is rattled with 2 goals, maybe not until the 3rd even, he falls apart. We saw Chicago do it to him 3 years in a row in the playoffs, and this year, the first few games were just downright embarrassing for CHI. Then they got in there and hammered the shit out of him and he went to pieces. But I think they can still pull this out. 3 games, time will tell.

Nothing wrong with that play, AT ALL! That scumbag Burrows has been whacking the shit out of Thomas the entire series so the Mr. Cannibalism got what he deserved! Now, if you want to whine about the play by Marchand for that being dirty, we agree 100%.

Why should he apologize? He called the Bruins pussies for not sticking up for themselves. Dude has a right to an opinion, just like you do. Absolutely agree. You, Dean and I have been privy to seeing this shit before, because of the 3 straight years you referred to. And I think that's why Dean is a little rattled right now, too. The guy (Luongo) has a really long memory, and goaltenders, like relief pitchers in baseball, need very short memories. That's what really surprised me about their coach leaving him in to give up 8 goals ... 8!!! Just for that, I think Andrew should give him Dickhead Of The Year!

The Bruins are the inferior team in the series, talent wise. Because of that, you need a flag to fly and the Bruins found it. Retaliating may have detached the "pussy" stigma, but it would have also seen Vancouver skating with The Cup in 5 games. The Bruins did what all well run, professional organizations do. They rallied around it and are feeding off of it. And that's what wins championships, not retaliating.

There's a big difference between protecting your players and retaliating, and the Bruins seem to know the difference. Much tougher, much more physical play and exactly what Tim Thomas did late in last night's game is how you "stick up for yourselves" and protect your players. Losing your cool and giving Vancouver senseless power plays is how you watch the other team skate around the ice with Lord Stanley's Cup. Which is why I'll reiterate, once again, that the dickhead from Sirius had no clue what he was talking about ... at all!

You're really getting caught up in semantics, SJ. We agree that the Bruins are the inferior team talent-wise (except at goaltender, where it isn't close)! The Bruins didn't tie this series up because of talent. They tied it up because they're a much tougher team. Much of what the Bruins have done has been a retaliation of sorts. They haven't taken a lot of stupid penalties (not that it would even matter, given how awful Vancouver's "vaunted" PP has been). They have definitely been pushing guys around. Marchand was all over the Sedin Sisters last night, and you saw what Thomas did to that douche Burrows after Burrows whacked the stick out of his hands. Dean calls it cheap. I say the guy got exactly what he had coming to him. The truth of the matter is that Horton getting laid out was probably the best thing that happened to this Bruins team, because up until that point, they hadn't seemed to be woken up. That woke them up in a big way, because since that point, they have been throwing their weight around and scoring at will. The bottom line now is that it's a best out of 3 series and Vancouver still has the upper hand with 2 of those 3 games on their home ice. I think no matter which team wins this series, Thomas is the runaway MVP of this series and wins his second Vezina in a runaway vote. Dude has been absolutely IMMENSE!

We're pretty much in agreement, John. I just think retaliating the brutish way Scotty Sirius wanted to would have nullified the bolded part. But Boston did it right.

Well, the other thing is that yes, he gets rattled easily, but Lu has the ability to turn it around just as quick. This year's series, after the Hawks bothered to show up and actually play in game FOUR, they slammed everything past him two games in a row and fucked him up. And look what happened. Granted the last two games were close, and you have to credit VAN's offense for most of it... But at this point, it could go either way. The Ruins have not won it yet. But if they can't figure a better way past Thomas, then it's up to Bobby to pull his shit together and at least stop a puck or 12.

The last two games Vancouver sure don't look like they're starving for Stanley.
I really like Luongo but he should have been pulled in game three and before he was in game four.
The nicest thing I have to say about Tim Thomas is that he has a nice playoff beard.

Well this happened to Vancouver in games 4 and 5 against Chicago. Both blowouts. I hope they can put it back together in time like they did in the first round.

God you aren't kidding. ESPN just sucks them off every minute. EVERY single show on ESPN, Sportscenter, PTI, Around the Horn, First Take, all of them...they all lead off and give the show 80% coverage of LeBron, and D Wade. It's nauseating. The NBA has obviously paid ESPN to market their game.

This will be bad for America, if the Heatles win.

Are you kidding me?

Just watched HeatSPN highlights...Dwayne Wade goes down...brushing the floor.....He then misses 10 minutes. Has anyone seen this? Are these guys the softest athletes ever? My lord dude, are you a man or a child? They have to be embarrassed when their contemporaries in the NFL, MLB and NHL watch them. They must laugh at them.

NOT complaining, but 6 penalties to 0? Ok...Most were legit...The refs are doing a good job IMO.

You know a PP is coming for the other team soon....

Luongo looks good tonight.

Kesler is hurt but we won't know til after the series. He just can't get the other gear.

My GWG- LaPierre

PS- Not pissing match here, but is it me, or does Vancouver seem to have a much louder, livelier crowd? Rogers just seems louder and rockin more, especially during the anthems. You talk about pressure. Luongo is under more pressure tonight than any athlete since well, Luongo back in February of last year in the Gold Medal game. The pressure of hockey in Vancity is ridiculous.

PPS- Who's the scumdick in the crowd rocking a Flames sweater? Douche

Man RWF, you took my thoughts and feelings right out of my head. I've NEVER enjoyed basketball EVER, but man did I enjoy watching Game 5 last night. Can't believe I'm actually rooting for a Dallas team but I found myself fist pumping when Dirk swished that Rainbow 3 and Kidd pretty much put the game away as well. I actually got fuckin' ANGRY when the Heat took the lead. Couldn't believe it, haha. Nowitzki sure is a beast.

Say what you want about the Heat but the NBA scored HUGE with them three villains in the finals. They got a casual like me to buy into the hate and tune into the game hoping to see LeFraud go down. I hope it doesn't go 7. I hope Dallas crush's and folds them in 6.

What exactly did he "accomplish"? Listen, the guy certainly played better than he did the previous two games, but that isn't saying much. It was easily the absolute worst two game stretch in the history of the Stanley Cup Finals by ANY goaltender. I said at the beginning of this series that Vancouver was the more talented team. After watching 5 games, I still think Vancouver will win the series, but it's not because they've outplayed the Bruins, even a little. The Bruins have lost every game by a single goal and Thomas has played at a completely different level than Luongo has. The Bruins clearly can't get their offense going on the road, and that will be their undoing in this series. I came into this series thinking that Vancouver was unbeatable. I will leave this series very frustrated, knowing that Vancouver really shouldn't win this series, given how lopsided the goaltending match up has been and the fact that their power play has been completely shut down.
