I'd go just for tailgating, unless that stadium sucks, and is overrun by Nazi cops, like I hear Gillette is.

Other than that...2 Big Flats 6 packs from Walgreens for $6.50, and it's gametime. (Cheap beer for a cheap game.    )

You're actually not close to being in the minority. Even the NFL recognizes that it has a real problem getting fans into the stadiums. There has NEVER EVER EVER been a better marriage than the one between TV and the NFL. Fuck going to watch the game in person. You end up missing more than half the game. I'll take my 65 inch Panasonic Plasma in HD all day long than sitting with a bunch of out of control, drunk fucks  I'm often offered free tickets to games (and usually good seats), and always turn them down. I'd much rather relax on my sofa with my little boy and a roaring fire in the fireplace. Not to mention, I'd rather not wait in line to take a piss!

I like being able to act like a drunken moron on my couch too. Free tix, special trip to Dallas (or wherever, actually), SURE I'll go...But being a lazy fuck, and not driving 3 hours for about 5 hours at the stadium, then 3 back beats all that. I can throw things here without being arrested, too.

Even if the Steelers are 0-10, put me in that stadium. Not everybody can say they lived out their bucket-list but everytime I'm at a Steelers game, I have the time of my life. I've been to Las Vegas, you name it but give me Pittsburgh Football and you're seeing my dream. Nothing like it but that's me personally. Meeting new fans, experiencing 65,000+ sharing your same passion is all I need. Granted, I grew up in a diehard family so it's kind of in my blood.

You can change your picks all the way up to the 1:00pm kickoffs. 12:59 works. 1:00 doesn't lol. 8)

I think I like the Cowgirls in an upset this week. Atlanta isn't running the table, and even though I think Dallas is a fraud of a team, they could win this game. I'm still really on the fence about Pittsburgh's game tomorrow. The Giants are a far better team, but this is the NFL, so who knows.

Me too, John. It's not like the Steelers are the Jaguars or anything. They are very capable of beating the Giants and matchup well, offensively anyway to counter how the Giants get upfield on their D-line. Roethlisberger and Eli are playing their best ball out of anybody right now so it's the toughest game of the week to judge. The thing that's starting to separate from me is that the Giants have been winning late, just held onto an emotional win against the Cowboys and bring in a 4 game win streak while the Steelers NEED a signature win. Right now, I like the Steelers close but who knows by Sunday.

I'm with RPM actually. Football is possibly the ONE sport I like that I feel I get much more out of watching on TV. I just don't understand the game well enough (never having played it at a high level) to see things from the stadium like I do on TV. And I've had very good seats at games before. I just like to take in the game and all the subtle nuances on TV.

Weird note that is Big Ben is 15-1 against NFC opponents in the regular season in his career, that one loss coming against Eli and the Giants in 2008, losing at Heinz Field 21-14 when James Harrison was used as the designated long snapped that sailed in the back of the endzone in a safety. Ben and Eli are both 1-1 head to head against each other.

Dallas defense is better than their record suggest, but Ryan has been red hot at home, which Romo shows up?
Giants losing to the steelers would be the bigger upset.

I had a hard time making almost EVERY week 9 pick. Interesting matchups that make you think 3 times over. Here goes:

Broncos over Bengals by 13; 27-14
Ravens over Browns by 10; 17-7
Packers over Cardinals by 17; 31-14
Bears over Titans by 10; 20-10
Dolphins over Colts by 7; 28-21
Redskins over Panthers by 7; 20-13
Lions over Jags by 17; 34-17
Texans over Bills by 13; 30-17
Raiders over Bucs by 3; 23-20
Seahawks over Vikings by 7; 21-14
Steelers over Giants by 4; 28-24
Falcons over Cowboys by 10; 31-21
Eagles over Saints by 3; 24-21

Interesting, yes. Wrong, yes. LOL

On another note...the Giants winning would be a good thing for that area today. Don't want it to happen, since I hate the Gstrings (lol), but it would be.

If the Steelers were to lose, there is absolutley no shame into dropping one to the Giants as it was to the Raiders or Titans. It's an NFC team, on the road after tragedy but I actually expect the Steelers to be focused today. Should be a good game. Great matchups pretty much across the board from a football standpoint, not a Mother Nature one.

It will be interesting to hear the NFL's explanation on Ben's fumble in the Pittsburgh game. For me, seeing that play live, I thought for sure that his arm was coming forward and it was an incomplete pass. Not sure I understand that call. I also thought the pass interference call on Ryan Clark (even though he's a dirty cocksucker) as a completely bogus call. Watching the replay of that tells me that it's fucking IMPOSSIBLE to play defense in the NFL. That was a shit call!

I refuse to confront the calls in this game. I really do think the Steelers are flat out outplaying the Giants right now. Also good to see Mike Fitzgerald earning his contract. Another big 3rd down drop. Can't count how many that is this season.

What the fuck is with Pigskin Pick Em? Anyone else having any issues with your picks? I picked Seattle over Minnesota, and it shows I didn't even pick the game! I picked the Bears to slaughter the Titans and it shows I picked the Titans? What the fuck? The Titans? Really? Come On, Man

Good to know I'm not fucking delusional. Not only do I know I picked Seattle, I went in and checked again at 12:30 this afternoon. All my picks were what they were supposed to be. That's fucked up. Oh well. At least I have no money on the line here. Unfortunately for me, those two games bring me from a very solid week to a shit week!

Yeah, I kept getting fucked, so I stopped. Very strange. I've done this a few times in years' past and had no problems. Now I was getting robbed of at least 1 (usually more) games a week, I was sucking, I'm pressed for time even on the weekends right now (work sucks), and so I just stopped picking.

What a stupid fucking call by Tomlin on that fake FG. I actually didn't have a problem with him going for it and thought he should have left Ben on the field to go for it on 4th and 1. Hell, if you're going to go for it anyway, why the fuck do it on a fake kick, with a dopey kicker against a stout Giants D. After that play call, the Steelers deserve to lose this game.

The pickems have malfunctioned before, especially around this time last year and a couple for me this year too. Overlooking it though, it seems the site has been fixed.
