The Eagles barely showed up after half time Doggy......the Saints won the second half, I understand John Worsfold blasted the players for 'coasting' in the second half.......your side was missing many players, and Fraser didn't seem interested.

My daughter is going to see Hanson when they play in Perth Doggy. She has loved then from the beginning, and while she has moved on to other bands and styles of music since she was 10, we decided that she had to go and see them. I would go with her but I'll be in Finland at the time. :D One week to go, YEEHAH!!!! :D :D :D Can you tell I'm looking for ward to going? Anyway.....I'm sure she'll like Zinc too. :D

I haven't heard the new Vanishing Point yet but I'll pipck it up while I'm away. Have been waiting and looking forward to it for a couple of years now. :D Great band.

Gimme one drop of each beer brand and mix-em together.

It's been busy around the home. I'm about half-way through moving all my junk out of my room in preparation of remodeling. Cashiering hasn't been too bad, with exception of today. (I won't go into details. Customers need to get a life.) I know for a fact I'll be losing hours, because college has ended, and so a lot of cashiers are returning to work for the summer. I joined a bowling league for the summer, and I'm about the middle of the road as far as scoring average is concerned. It's been raining since forever, with a few peaks of sun here and there...no doubt the first game of co-ed softball will be washed out. My oldest brother may finally be moving out, because he made an offer on a house closer to his work, and is having it inspected this week...the band project is on hold...again. Our singer quit, and our potential replacement isn't that good, either. One of my tracks calls for some serious singing, and our potential replacement can't pull it off...oh, and I have enough rejected songs  to start a solo project of my own.

If only my bro would find a replacement female singer who's not only awesome at vocals, but also to have a sudden affection for the keyboardist... :P I'd have her sing right...heh heh heh.

...that sums it up really. Not much new otherwise, other than work.

N.P. ...eh...take your pick. My collection is stored away.

'If only your bro would find'? To improve the chance on that outcome, you should be the one looking for a new singer, I'd think, not your bro! ;)

Good luck with the remodeling! You're doing it very thoroughly. I wouldn't even know where to put all our junk when I would clear entire floor of the living room... I noticed that we could use a new carpet... the CD racks that I've replaced a cabinet with don't occupy the same amount of space, and in front of them it is now brutally showing what colour the carpet was before it faded.

Well ladies and gents. A busy weekend indeed. I had so much to do didnt get on the pc. Incidentally Tali, my son laughed when he read what you wrote and agreed you were probably right. Sorry to hear about your cut Martha. Hope it gets better fast. Good to hear also there was great weather for the wedding. Gary and I went out woodcutting over the weekend. We have a fireplace and in winter that is what we heat with. Lol ...primitive, I know. Still now every muscle in my body has a muscle and they all hurt. Barkeep, keep the wine flowing. I need to ease these poor muscles a bit. Hope everyone has a grand week. Tho it is a yechy Monday. Later y'all.

You are right Martha. The hot bath helped. Still sore tho. Will be for a day or so. Yes, Jesse is still playing the guitar off and on. More off than on mind you. I keep telling him girls like guitar men. He dont want to believe me. Oh well, he will live and learn. Now, how about that glass of wine. We havent had one for a while. Oh, and for the first time in years, Gary got drunk last night. I got pictures.... He is always calling me wine head when I have wine. Payback.....buahahahaha.

Keep in mind that technically, this is my bro's project. Supposedly, it's 'ours,' but the number of songs he chose not to use dictates otherwise. He won't let anyone else control the project other than himself.

The few singers that have come and gone are actually closer to my age. They turn their nose up at me. But if my bro wasn't taken, they'd probably dump their bf's and jump on my bro anyday of the week.

I joke that he should send his waiting list over my way, but still no takers.

I will have that space to store stuff if my older bro gets the house...but if I don't, I have two pack rats to argue with.

As soon as I have them developed I will scan and email you a couple. Truly funny pics they are. Nice wine thanks Martha. I really needed that. Jess actually has looked at bass guitars but prefers the regular I think. He has not said anything otherwise. Still, if he wanted a bass I would get him one. If nothing else, just so he could make the choice. That is what life is about anyhow isnt it. Making choices and living with it. Well, another day started here at work. Got to get busy and quit screwing off now. Be back later all. Take care.

Johnny, I am really sad to see that. I know what that is like tho. My sister is like that too. Everything she does is golden and all I do sux. I do hope you can come to terms and do what makes you happy. Sometimes there is no happy medium. You cant always please everyone else. So sometimes you have to please yourself. Life goes on. Take care.

Yeah, get your own band together Jonny and forget about your brother's. Sounds like his isn't going anywhere anyway. You seem to be much more dedictaed. You don't need him to succeed. :D

I don't think our drummer is too thrilled with the songs either. Not difficult enough he says.

I definitely have plans. Stay tuned for that.

Fuck Jonny, you just described a variation of things that happen in virtually every band at some point.......I played in two bands, roadied for another couple, and......well, it just happens.
I found it to be one of the hardest things ever, keeping a band together, and keeping a lid on duelling egos.

I've been in a band with the same guys for almost 10 years....It works fine because they know that i run the show....although i must be going soft because our newest song has contributions from both the bass player and the drummer.....that should shut them up until 2015 anyway :D

Hi all,

It has been a while...I see we have changed venues once more. News here in China has been slow as it has been work, work and work. Even though I had a one week holiday a couple of weeks ago, I was a bit broke and so didn't really go travelling. I did go to the Forbidden City though and that was very cool.

As I sit here now, I have lost my voice due to the flu...this is not very helpful as a teacher. Trying to teach and manage a classroom of 40 students is not very easy when you can't speak!! Student's are loving it though...they think I speak WAAAYY to much already and so this is welcome respite

At the moment I am looking forward to the new Bruce Dickinson album being released next week...I shall have to import it, which sucks, but I will definitely be laying my hands on it somehow. I still haven't found a place here in Beijing with a reliable supply of western music that isn't Boyzone, Westlife, Aqua or Satriani, Yngwie, Vai. I am thinking I might have to try Haidian, which is the student area of Beijing, and is the place where the underground music scene happens (apparently)...only problem is, Haidian is about an hour and a half across town. A long way to go fishing, so to speak.

Catchya later, MM

Jonny, I'm sorry to hear how things with the band are going... or rather not going... It is hard to get a sense of recognition when your own songs are being changed, while your own input is not appreciated. To compromize is what it comes down to, I think, but at the same time it is hard to compromize on music a person feels strongly about.

Whatever you're going to do, I wish you the best of luck. I will stay tuned for your plans. ;)

Maidenman, nice to see you back here! Be careful with that voice... You will need it to sing along with that Bruce Dickinson CD, no? :D

Well all, today is the day. I have tomorrow off. Then have to work Saturday. My once monthly weekend. Blech!!! Anyhow, my son decided at the last minute to work on his science project last night. A solar cooker of all things. What is it about teenagers and the last minute. Never will understand that. We were up until 3AM with that crap. Actually I would like to kill the teacher that assigned that. So, someone tell me, what good plans we got coming for the next weeks. Concerts, vacations or what. We are planning a trip to the Netherlands late next summer. I have been saving money and checking flight information for weeks. All I can say is it is going to be an expensive venture at best. When things start to get a bit closer I will need some ideas from those of you over there on where to stay etc. Well best get busy. Another day in hell.....lol

Well, I've decided to wait a little bit. Unfortunately, he's got all the connections and I don't. It would be different if he wasn't my bro. But aside from disagreeing with everything musically speaking, we don't really fight much.

I'll wait until after his album is released. Because the band is gonna help me with my solo project thereafter...I'll just use a line musician for the guitars.

'Live without a Net' is so good!!
It's better than the 'Right here, Right now' set because there aren't so many edits......and it's good to see the band looking as though they are having so much fun.

Yeah I know that  ... But what I mean is there is a dvd overhere that's called "Van Halen - Live 1986" it's a special price dvd and it's done by FNM company ......... but they done a terrible job on it. If you watch the dvd the image and sound will freez for a second or 2 with each song  ...... and it doesn't matter if you go back to store for another one .... because they same thing happens

Had another argument with my bro today, because he didn't really get over the previous argument. But when it was all said and done, bygones became bygones and we're back on the right track. Ironically, we actually progressed a little bit with the project, which is more than I had expected.

Conflicting interests are still an issue. But we'll work on that.

So in the meantime, I'm gonna delete the previous couple posts in the event that he stumbles on this site and gets pissed again.
