Never got into Kansas beyond the radio staples. Squirt1 added this to the Haunting Melodies thread and I can't stop playing it!

Doesn't sound as much like Kansas as Survivor to me but either way, what a great song. I've never heard it before and its 22 years old!

So for today anyway, my new favorite song.

I never heard it before either, but as I was listening to it, all I could think of is wanting to hear Perry sing that song...........

Much as I like Perry, he would add too many oh and wohs to it. :)

Gramm on the other hand would've made this a top 5 hit back in the day.

Now I want to hear more from Steve Walsh on the Power album.

Yeah, I agree with you on the Ohs and Wohs that Perry would add, but adding the depth and quality of Perry's voice
would add the passion that goes with the lyrics of this song.... It was a sweet song, good lyrics, but was weak in delivery..........

Speaking of Pink - one of my current favorites:

She's one of the few current 'pop' stars I like - Funhouse is a good CD.

Does anyone know how this did on the charts? I seem to remember this song from spring 1985. Was living in Brooklyn Park Minnesota, was in 8th grade, had a crush on a girl named Michelle. As was the story in my young pathetic life the girls were never interested, I seemed to remember hearing this song on the radio and thinking about her.

According to Wiki, it got to #19 on the Billboard 100 and #10 on Mainstream rock tracks. Album was a top 40 seller.

Not current and not a favorite. Hmm, sounds like a "Now Playing" thread entry. Hey if it was anything other than Beyonce, I guess I wouldn't care. :)

Don't know why but she bugs. No, not 'cause she's black.

I like this one.

Maybe 'cause I like Smokey and the Bandit.
