You gotta be kidding me? re-recorded classics? why?... Journey's attempt died in the ass. You can't re-record history.
These guys are just as bad as Journey.

Now the front pg is stating they AREN'T re-records but rather actual remixes of the originals.
THAT makes no sense to me I wanted to hear the rerecords (they have some up on their site too).

Yeah, I don't know how I feel about this. The re-records seemed unnecessary when Journey did them, especially since they didn't really bring anything new to them. But somehow keeping the original vocalist on a package with new material with a new vocalist seems even more disrespectful.

I was a little shocked to read that too. As much as i like Lou Grahm I wanted to hear Kelly sing the classics on a new CD.

Like they did with the Journey 3 disc set.

If Kelly sounds as good throughout as the one sample posted elsewhere, the new material should get some airplay and sell well. That's if of course the other tunes have more umph to them.
Die hard Gramm fan but lookin' forward to this now.

I hope this is true too.

I wish it were true! But we all know that sadly the majority of stations (mainstream radio) dont even play the music we all read and care about here. And those that do play "classic rock" rarely, if ever play new music from the classic artists. Its very sad. So much great and wonderful music is missed out on by so many. Because they play the same songs again and again!!

Always cool to have behind-the-scenes stuff included on DVDs.

No sense to me either, but they are 100% remixes....

Remixes of the original recordings? No way is that going to happen. Why would they want to include performances of all their classics with Lou Gramm's vocals intact when they have a new singer now? If they are planning to take the original backing tracks and add Hansen's vocals that would be rerecordings, not remixes. And all of the classic hits are owned by Atlantic/Warner Brothers, I can't imagine why they would allow them to be included in this package.
