From Blabbermouth.net:
On Sunday, February 21, guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, SOULS OF WE, DOKKEN) was interviewed by host Jim Alvino on the "Turn It Up" show on the WSCA 106.1 FM radio station. Topics of discussion included new albums by SOULS OF WE and LYNCH MOB; songwriting; recording with other artists; and LYNCH MOB's November 2009 West Coast shows as the support act for DOKKEN. During the chat, Lynch also revealed that he has been writing songs for a new DOKKEN album with the band's classic 1980s lineup.
An excerpt from the interview follows below.
Turn It Up: The shows that you did at the end of last year, with LYNCH MOB opening for DOKKEN, and at the end the classic lineup of DOKKEN playing together again, has that now blown up into that lineup working together again?
George Lynch: "Yes, actually it has. And that's something that isn't gonna happen for a little while. We all have our respective commitments, meaning Jeff, Mick, Don and myself are all real busy this year doing other things. But we've all made a commitment to each other to dedicate ourselves to getting back together. We've already got three songs on the table and we're gonna continue to write throughout the year and put the whole business together and probably go in the studio late fall or early winter of this year and then have a record out toward late spring of next year, and then hit the road."
The entire 27-minute interview in which Lynch discusses the new DOKKEN material offers an update on SOULS OF WE will be re-aired during "Turn It Up" on Saturday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Man, I just hope it's better than "Disfunctional". That album sucked ASS!!!

I may be alone in this, but I hope they keep the album sounding 80's. I really like the new song they did for the greatest hits ("Almost Over" is what I think it's called). I liked it even though his voice is toast, and I think it's the coolest "Dokken" song I've heard in a long time.

I'll give this zero attention if George doesn't at least retune his guitar back to a minimum of E-Flat and play like he used to. I'm sick of hearing the classic Dokken tunes tuned to drop D or lower and then being trudged through. Play them right or don't play them.

This is awesome news, but only if they do another classic-style album like LSA. That would kick A, and I just hope George is up to it. Dysfunctional had great stuff on it, but it just wasn't as "melodic" as I like it to be. Shadowlife is, well... Shadowlife.
Thanks for the news, and yes it is news to me -- I haven't had the time to keep up with things lately so it's really cool to hear!
BTW, the 1 year anniversary of LSA is coming up, and that's the same amount of time it's been in the first slot of my car CD player without being removed. No other CD comes anywhere close to staying in my player that long, maybe a couple of months tops. I just love it that much. I jammed on it again just the other day and it only improves with age.

FMusic Industry NEWZ: Legendary Guitarist George Lynch (Lynch Mob, Souls of We) is in Damage Control mode
For Immediate Release:
DISCLAIMER — Legendary Guitarist George Lynch (Lynch Mob, Souls of We) is in Damage Control mode these days and wants to retract any of his earlier statements concerning the band “Dokken” and referencing about them getting back together w/ all original members… Mr. Scary apologizes for being preemptive and just simply misspoke in his excitement. “We are TALKING about a possible reunion for 2011, but it’s still in early stages!” George says.

Then where are my 3 new songs he mentioned?!?
Actually, it's obvious he's telling the truth and they had to shut him up. I'm sure it took 5-6 very large, strong men to do it too... LOL. But at least we know the
real reason why Dokken turned down the headlining spot at MR Fest II.

Sounds like a great name for a new Dokken album! And I wouldn't be surprised if Don sued KISS
and Michael Caine for stealing the idea first.
