I predict a miserable blow-out final. I'd love to see Butler do it, but I think the psychological effect of playing Duke in the championship, in and of itself, is a formidable obstacle for a team like Butler to overcome. I don't know enough about the strengths and weaknesses of both of the teams since I've only watched a couple of games to make any predictions regarding the actual basketball strengths, weaknesses, and matchup issues each team faces vs each other. I just think the moment is gonna be too big for Butler.

I'm expecting Duke to win tonight (unfortunately) but I have to root for the hometown team and won't be a bit surprised if Butler wins. If they can beat Syracuse, Kansas State, and Michigan State, they can certainly beat Duke as well.

I don't think he'll take it either. I'm sure he would be successful in the NBA as good as he is preparing for games (which is the major difference betw college and the pros, IMO...as talent can compensate for a lot at the college level). Unless he has something to prove to himself, he has nothing to gain by leaving Duke at this stage. Some people may not like him, and some of his players are certainly easy to hate (ie Laettner), but he graduates players and wins. It's hard to ask more than that from a college coach.

I'm more of a UNC fan than a Duke one (hard to escape it when you live between the two and have ties to both), but I think Duke will win tonight unless they have a monumental collapse, cold shooting night or major injury.

No disagreement there. Watching the replays, it's obvious the reason was the RI player who fell into/pushed Graves who then collided with the ball-person. For better or worse, things aren't called in the last few seconds the way they are for the rest of the game. I think it should have been called...but it is what it is.

Coach K just strikes me as a Dean Smith kind of guy. He's the emperor of his own kingdom and his legacy is set. There is nothing for him to gain and everything to lose.
