on one of my very few nights at home I just watched IDOL....this kid knocked it out of the park with his version of Hallelujah...one of my favorite songs.

Of all things to watch why would you watch idol I'm watching deal or no deal right now while wating for the good wife to come on

I have to agree he is great.And i love the song he sang tonight.I have fingers crossed he wins.I like Casy but feel he may go on Wed nite.I did not see Idol tonight.I had to watch Daning with the stars.lolol

I suggest you watch his version of hallelejuah...the best Ive heard since the Canadian Tenors version....

Well i really don't hate idol i usually just watch the audition episodes so i can laugh at the dumbass people I like survivor though

The show not the band well i do like the band but just one song

The band is great Not so much on the show.

He was my pick from the get go. Glad to see him letting loose more now with more confidence. Really like his emotive raspy tone.

you need to listen to Vital Signs, Premonition, When Seconds Count, Too hot to sleep, caught in the game and yes-the entire eye of the tiger cd...then tell me about the one good song. Its actually my least favorite.

I really think that the last 3/ many of the last 10 will all make more money than you, & some ,perhaps in your lifetime. I see it as good FREE publicity & as soon as they fulfill their AI contract, real music people will take over. I also think AI is scripted and is privy to the voting #'s & make controversy to get people caught up and therefore ratings to sell more commercials. I remember the $ 64,000 ? show 35-40 yrs ago. It caused a clean up of game shows. IMO ALL reality shows are scripted in some form favorable to ratings. It will always be about ratings and revenues. Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I think he's a not-as-good David Cook imitation. Was hoping for Casey or Big Mike to take it all...but the american idol voting public isn't a collectively smart demographic

No its not i wish it was.I really like Casey & Big Mike.But now i am hoping for Lee he is really good.Hes not a David Cook but still good anyway.

granted, at this point it hardly matters.....Big Mike, Casey, Lee and Crystal will all have record deals.....

I honestly think that a lot of it has to do with how much they've hyped up Lee's status. How many times over the last few weeks have they asked him "Do you think you can win it?". They tell him every week how he's the one to beat, and that he's "crushed the competition". When you build him up that much, it's going to make people think "damn... he's the greatest thing since sliced bread!".

Do you notice how big of a production they made his last song? Nobody else had the choir come out. Simon made a big to do about it, and I think it gets his votes. They did the same thing with Lambert, when I honestly thought on several shows that they did this on, that he was the weaker singer. A lot of people listen to these judges, and I really think they put an unfair slant on the judging in order to help ratings.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lee, but I'm also a HUGE Momma Sox fan. I honestly hope she wins it, because she has a child to support, AND because Lee sounds like a million other singers out there. My $.02

On this show it is very rare that the best singer wins. It's more of the best image wins. Crystal IS the best singer. Original, genuine, and talented...Lee? I liked him better the first 5 times I saw him: daughtry, cook, vedder, stapp, and kroeger....and they weren't all that good either....
