His mother allowed it and they sliced sections of the tissue that were stained that confirm the diagnosis . What will high schools & the NFL do to prevent the hits, say like to Chad Johnson by Ray Lewis last season. Wow, football is going to change because of lawsuits.
The NFL already pampers the offensive players, esp the QB and WR's of taking certain types of hits, so I don't see how they can make the game any safer. These pro athletes on the field are trained like rabid dogs, no way can they go out there and tip toe around the football field or their ass would be out of a job in the snap of a finger. The NFL has custom made helmets made to prevent concussions, and changed various rules not allowing headshots to the head in a helpless position, so if the NFL wants to turn into the NBA, they might as well put shorts on them.
Not happening, football is straight forward. Aggressiveness and tenacity is the whole reason why the game was invented.
On a side note, Deano has a damn point. The dude got pushed out of a moving pickup truck and landed on his face so I'm sure this had something to attribute to the bruising of the brain or whatever they found. They tried saying the same thing about Ben and his concussions. I guess concussions make you go out and screw women. Troy Polamalu is one of the nicest guys that ever graced this planet and he walked into the league with various concussions, so this argument is FLAWED.
