Recently there was a news report stating Heart would be touring with Def Leppard in the U.S. in 2011. Today there was a another leak about the tour in article for a luthier who is making a guitar for Billy Greer, the bass player for Kansas, mentioning that the tour will be 60 days and that Kansas would also be supporting...

Completion date: “Hard to say exactly,” Harmon said. Greer hopes to take the guitar on a 60-day concert tour with Kansas, Heart and Def Leppard in the spring, “so I figure I have the winter to get it done.” He said that he plans to have it finished by early February.

Thoughts on this package?

I'm a big fan of Heart and Def Leppard is also one of my favorite rock bands. I could take or leave Kansas...but I think this should do fairly well. Assuming Leppard will be the headliners, best of luck to Joe Elliott in having to follow Ann Wilson every night.

If this happens, I will go...I love all 3 bands.

Definitely see both of those bands at least once before it's too late. I've seen Heart numerous times. I've only seen Kansas with John Elefante so I better use this chance to see them with Walsh before it's too late.

I got upper level seats for Roger Waters but I can't complain too much as I've seen Gilmour already with Floyd in 94 and I'll finally come full circle with that group. I need to see the Scorpions, Depeche Mode and a few others still.

I really need to update my list of "must sees." I used to have a good list of the bands I need to see before they hang 'em up.

Gilmour is definitely on there. Really need to see him.

I will probably see guys touring solo more and more as it's cheaper and waiting for eventual reunions just isn't worth it. I hate that I didn't go see Dan Seals and now, he's gone. I really hope to catch David Gates one time, he's the only one left as the rest of his bandmates have died prematurely from cancer and what not.

A lot of Euro trance music and R&B acts. The heavy bands (Iron Maiden, AC/DC) play the Forum. Current Big Name acts play Staples and Classic Rock/70s acts rotate around Hollywood Bowl, Nokia and The Greek Theater. Madonna, Paul McCartney play Dodgers Stadium. Besides U2, not many acts try and pack the RoseBowl anymore.

And then there are those bands that play The Troubadour, Whisky A GoGo, Key Club and the HOB.

I just saw them on Saturday. It is not hyperbole when I say Ann and Nancy are still performing at the top of their game. They were amazing.

Heart is great BUT I have seen them at least three times over the last six years and Ann's voice is definitely in decline. They are still a wonderful act to see but there is no way people should expect to hear a voice that is the same as it was in the '80s.

All of the songs are still in their respective original tunings and Ann does not struggle in terms of hitting the higher notes in various songs, and she does not rearrange any melodies as other vocalists are prone to do once they've lost a bit of range.

Certainly at 60, the quality of a voice will be different than what it was 20 or 30 years ago. That's a given. But decline. No. Her range and power are still intact.

You should expect to hear a voice in great condition that is near 80's awesome ...the voice still makes the hair
on my arms stand straight up, tears well in my eyes and gives me goosebumps the size of an eight~ball!! I saw them
several times in the 80's and as recent as last spring ...perhaps my shows were better than yours!!

I happen to agree with you here. That's why I am thinking if the show(s) at Dodger Stadium will be the very last shows ever. I would think he could sell out Dodger Stadium a few times if this is in fact the last tour. I too am tired of the Sports Arena. I do remember him playing Staples(the very first act to ever play there), and for some reason, he didn't like it.

As far as Kansas goes...it is a crapshoot which Steve Walsh is going to show up...however, if they let Steinhardt sing everything - that would rock. I'd like to see a full-blown Kansas reunion with Livgren and Hope coming back to the fold.

I personally can't wait for the Def Lep/Heart tour! Can't wait to see the tour schedule! Some die hard DL fans think it sucks, but they'll be really surprised just like they were when they though Journey paired with them would suck! That tour ended up extended! I LOVE Heart live!!!

Def Leppard seems out of place on this tour. And for that reason I do not see them closing the show.

Def Leppard is still a headliner here and overseas, they're the closer.

Yep! 100% correct! All Heart could do alone were HOB type venues that didn't sell out. DL has a HUGE following. It helps it draws men and women equally, while Heart seems to draw less men.

Def Leppard were just doing live Q&A shows on XM/ Sirius and VH1Classic last night, they still got a lot of attention, even without any new material.

Yep, the do! They are good at getting themselves out there. A couple years ago they did that stuff with taylor swift on CMT channel, and Joe sang a couple of Taylor's songs with her, and she sang some DL songs with him. They are much like Bon Jovi getting attention in the mainstream media. They do the talk show circuit, playing, when they have something new. They have toured with and without albums the last several years and still fill their venues.
