Vocal qualities......

S2M, I've checked out some of your links you post, and for the most part I like the music and the songs, but probably 8 times out of 10, I'm not feeling the vocal(s). Which is the first thing that grabs me on a song. Of course ya know I love me some Perry, Martin, Soto vocals, but what are some other people's favorite vocal styles, tones, etc. that aren't your typical Perry's, Rodgers, Mercury's, etc.
If anybody knows of any vocals that sound similiar to this guy in tone and delivery, lets hear it. Goofy bugger, but I just adore his vocal tone and delivery. LOL, Yep I definitely have a vocal type.
R&B influenced delivery, gritty tone, lots of character/texture, and well delivered soulful inflections. Just can't get into weak/thin vocals......gotta be a more full bodied vocal timbre.

I saw him a couple times live back in the day, and his Lonesome Jubilee tour show I saw is still up there in probably my top 5 favorite concerts of all time. I've never seen anything like it, during songs like Cherry Bomb and Paper and Fire........he had the whole friggin' arena up dancin'. Too cool!
Mind you, I was singing aloud to every damn lyric to every damn song at the April 2 MB show.
