Wow! She's got a really unique and pretty voice. Musicians have a drive and a desire to perform that outweighs shyness somehow. I've played keys all my life and spent a couple decades playing in various cover bands to audiences from very small and intimate to some numbering in the thousands. And no matter how many times I had done it before, I would still get severe stage fright to the point of bordering on an all out anxiety attack every single time I/we were about to go on stage. However, no matter how nervous and shaking I would get, I still couldn't wait to get up there and start playing whether I was the lounge lizard in a piano bar performing alone or as part of a band. There is no place more comfortable and at-home for a musician than in front of an audience.
Arnel is the prefect example of this. He still gets butterflies right before show time every night. He's a very shy person, or at least he used to be. When he's not on stage he's very meek and humble and would never do anything to bring attention to himself yet, he hits the stage running -literally- and becomes this larger than life entity with a commanding presence and a aire of contentment.
Thanks for sharing the vid and kudos to your daughter!
