From the department of just when you thought you have seen it all.

   Can they not get her for child endangerment? Wouldn't the alcohol infilitrate the breast milk?

CBS/WBNS/AP) DELAWARE, Ohio - People do some crazy things at weddings, but this takes the cake.

Thirty-year-old Stephanie Robinette, who was accused of getting inebriated at a wedding and spraying police with breast milk, has apologized despite pleading not guilty Monday to charges including assault and disorderly conduct.

Delaware County deputies responded to a domestic dispute call early Saturday after Robinette's husband reported that she got drunk at a wedding, hit him and then shut herself in a car, according to CBS affiliate WBNS.

Police say that when they attempted to extract an inebriated Robinette from the vehicle she wouldn't cooperate. The 30-year-old reportedly said she was a breast-feeding mother, then exposed part of her chest and sprayed deputies with breast milk.

Hint: this will definitely not get you out of trouble with the cops.

The suburban Columbus woman pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic violence, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault.

Before a judge released her on her own recognizance, Robinette, a teacher employed at a charter school, apologized for what occurred, reports WBNS.

"I have no criminal record; I take these charges very seriously and I absolutely intend to seek help for substance abuse with alcohol because alcoholism does run in my family," Robinette said.

Sheriff Walter L. Davis III appears to blame the sauce as well.

"This is a prime example of how alcohol can make individuals do things they would not normally do," Davis said in a news release.

So before you judge this woman, remember: this might be you someday. Maybe even tonight at happy hour.O

Some alcohol can get into the breastmilk but how much is dose dependent and alcohol should be avoided during breastfeeding but when used in moderation has not shown to have long term effects. Alcohol can also decrease the ejection reflex and reduce milk supply. Studies have also shown that infants do not appear to nurse as often after alcohol is ingested, mostly due to altered smell and taste of the milk. Now, it is possible that this mother was planning to pump and dump for 24 hours after her binge drinking episode-which would have been acceptable and not putting her infant in any danger.

.....you asked.

Maybe, (I remember my nursing sister having to dump out at my wedding because she was having wine... but... ) I'm thinking any individual that's dumb enough to whip a tittie out and fire her milk at a cop isn't responsible enough to bother with pump n' dump.
