I was listening to a bit of Lou's Christian album on my drive home from New Jersey this morning.
Last time I saw him perform Foreigner opened for Bad Company. Some drunk was making fun of him (pot calling the kettle black - I know) and I got into an altercation with him. He got thrown out and I didn't.
Lou is lucky to be alive. Shell of himself vocally, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for him. He sounds "ok". Certainly not embarassing, just very tough for him to live up to the high bar he set for himself over the years.
I love Kelly Hansen and the current version of Foreigner, but Lou is the real deal and there is something to be said for going to see him perform the songs. I'd certainly go if he plays nearby.
