I agree. Of course, I'm sure they're all in the Rock and Roll Hall of shame.

Its a pretty crappy magazine in general these days.

I cancelled my subscription.

It just seems to rehash the same old stuff.

I guess there is only so much Classic Rock stuff to be covered unless the artists keep releasing material [be it old or new] Is Melody Maker still publishing? Perhaps wood pulp is out and cyberprint is in;-)

The Specialist AOR Magazine is killer though.

Yeah but they charge a bloody fortune for it. Well they do here in rip-off Britain.

If THAT stuff was in the main magazine, I would still be buying it. I'm not going to pay for two.

I also hate that they rehash an old interview with musicians and add a few current quotes from them but never print a current photo of them.

Maybe its a female thing, but I want to know what they look like NOW.

I have offered to go and take recent pictures of some of these artists but Classic Rock never gets back to me about that :?

Not that I mind, but I wish they'd get SOMEBODY to do it.

Marty

Really Marty?

That has made me even more angry with them now.

The magazine costs the same as the average paperback book.
It contains stuff that I've read many many times in it before. And OLD photos of the people featured.
THEN they bring out an AOR magazine which does feature stuff I'm interested in but it costs even more than the regular magazine.

So they expect me to pay twice for my Rock magazine.

AND they never include Neal in their frequent lists of great guitarists.

I've really gone off them.

And anyway, if I want news, I come here to Andrew's site.

Ever stop and think maybe he just isn't great? There are dozens and dozens better than him.

I agree, there are many greater - I'm not saying he should be number 1 - but he should feature in the top 100 somewhere.

In the last one YOU were on the list.

Oh wait a minute, that wasn't on a list of great guitarists.
