This is a tough one. After listening once , i had to go back and re- listen. I initially thought the first 6 songs had somewhat of a generic feel to it(walk away, learn to live again, rise up, and what you want). Love heals is the gem of the first part of the cd with this is the moment a close second.

The last 6 songs on the cd starts off with Bad boy(what were they thinking?) this dated cheesy sounding song should have been left in the 8o's

On the run is much better but also has somewhat of that generic chorus to it(this one may be a grower)

Broken wings is a good song(i'm not loving the chorus that much, but i believe this one may grow on me)

Shot Great song except for the Shot, shot, shot ....so 80's cheesy  The song would be a gem if they would have just sang it with 1 shot in the song, maybe they were doing shots when they wrote this

Still believe in us- very good song, great chorus

Still unbroken- i cant get past the chorus on this one , it just reminds me of a childrens nursery rhyme where little kids are trying to rhyme even if it doesn't really make sense...standing my ground,my tshirt is brown, the singer is a clown, we are gonna go to town.......

Overall I think there's something for everyone on this cd but i don't think it has the depth of the 1st cd and with songs like bad boy and the shot shot shot lyric i'm a little worried about where this groups songwriting skills are going.

You've been waiting for weeks to post this haven't you? :P I'm sure you'll be crucified in here for posting any negative comments about it, but I appreciate your review.

Probably 10 times the cd's I'll sell in my lifetime. Lol!! My old country band actually sold about 300 cds at our gigs. We sold ours for $10 a pop. Nice little side money for us considering they cost us less than $3 apiece to have manufactured. I hope WET sells a lot more than that. I feel like those numbers are just low because of the fact that they don't tour. If they were a support act for a decent band, I'm sure they could sell thousands.

Ridiculous that releases don't all come out on the same day all over the world. Another archaic process of the music business that needs to evolve.

I've always thought they should open for Foreigner or a similar band. I do think that the debut album is stronger than this one, although admittedly I haven't heard all of it yet and am basing this on the two singles.

For the whole album I think I like this more than the debut and B&S. "Shot", "Still Unbroken" and "The Moment" are favs atm.

After trying to listen again

Eric martensson should have been lead vocal on learn to live again...the 2 small solo parts are the strongest vocals on this song(they should have at least given him equal time on this song). His voice fits the song better Than Jeff.

I only have heard 4 of the songs and think #2 is better. However, I trust yulog's judgement. Need to hear it for myself in it's entirety to make up my own mind.

W.E.T. reminds me of Winger. Great debut album but then...where do you go?

Theres good stuff on this cd, just confused by the choice to use the cheesy 80's stuff.....B suggests listening to it 5- 10 times and it will sink in, i am about 4-5 times and i'm not changing my mind on any of the songs yet.

Sorry Don, but they're not even in the same LEAGUE as Winger is and was. They're great musicians in their own right, but they don't have the chemistry or songwriting prowess as Winger who were an actual full-time band. To me that's what makes all the difference. Bands like WET, Pride Of Lions, etc... that in many cases don't even live in the same country as each other, don't form the bonds and musical connections with each other. I'm not knocking them as they're all talented musicians and singers.

My own band deals with the same issues. I basically have to write EVERYTHING by myself, email it, then Alex will re-record my vocals. Some of my music is okay at best, but if we were in the same room together to bounce ideas off of each other during the writing process, I guarantee that the result would be an album that's 100 times the album we're currently working on. We gel together great, but don't have the same chemistry that you get when you spend a lot of time together on stage and in the studio writing. Just my opinion.

Watch your mouth about the 80's stuff. That's what my whole album is going to sound like! Lol!!

Just bought the new album from I-Tunes, and I'm getting ready to give it a spin. Guess we'll see if it was worth it. I just hope I like it more than the last one.

I know I do, I've had it on constant rotation for the last 3 days and I love it! Rise Up, Shot, Learn to Live Again and Still Believe are my favorites so far.

I've listened to about half of it completely, and I've skimmed through the rest. I like "Love Heals", and "What you Want", but so far, those are the only songs I'm really digging. I'm getting that same damn feeling of generic melodic rock, and it bugs the shit out of me!! I'm seriously hoping that more of these songs grow on me. If not, I just threw 10 bucks out the window! :?

When the first single came out, I knew this album wasn't going to grab me the way the first one did.

The songs that i like (more so the ones i'm on the fence with) the more i listen to them the more i'm losing interest in them , i've decided to take a break from this one and come back to it at a later date.Hopefully i can give it a better shot shot shot at that time.

that seems to be the MO for me for almost all Erik Martensson releases. Sounds great to begin with, but very little lyrical depth, so the staying power just isn't there. I've gotten tot he point of expecting one or two really good songs (where the melodies outweigh the lyrical issues), and the rest being neither here nor there with pretty melodies but no substance whatsoever.

I can see your point , i have often thought that about alot of the stuff i have listened to over the past 10 yrs. I can't tell you how many times i have gone back to something i thought was pretty good and put it on an mp3 player only to constantly skip over it because its not good enough to listen to, i am costantly deleting my music collection and throwing out cds, or giving them to my friends because they were not what i thought they were initially.

Downloaded Walk Away and Learn To Live Again on iTunes. Like 'em a lot, but the rhythm guitar is throwing me off badly.

I need to listen to the 2 W.E.T. CD's back to back. Going to do that tomorrow. All opinions I have heard are valid in a lot of ways.

On a positive note, I think any band would be happy with these 2 releases out of the gate.

First CD still resonates with me more, but the new one has more hooks.
