I had a thread started awhile back with everything Man of Steel, but I lost track of it, so good reminder.

manofsteel.com launched its second alien marketing transmission video that features General Zod (Michael Shannon) issuing an ultimatum for Supes to turn himself into Zod's custody within 24 hours or planet Earth will suffer the consequences.

Zod just seems so dangerous, evil and blunt in his approach. No BS, no playing around, all business, action and a man of his word. Creepy, calm and flat out menacing. Plus, Shannon has this look to him that gives you shivers. Zod may be the best superhero villain in terms of execution EVER.

There's also a Kryptonian countdown that we all figured out to be the countdown to Trailer #3, which should be on the internet by 8:00pm ET tomorrow night. SO S-T-O-K-E-D. Marketing is in FULL SWING.

Saw a trailer for this during jurassic park. Looks pretty cool. Not a fan though but still
looks awesome. I however am waiting (im)paitiently for the next star trek film

The Superman thing looks like they finally might've got it right. While I like Christopher Reeve, etc., I always felt those films weren't good ones and it made Superman like the 60s Batman show- corny.
Kick Ass was terrible as was The Watchmen.

They won't try. Nolan's Batman existed in a world where Superman was impossible. They'll reboot Batman in a world where supernatural powers and orbiting space headquarters actually exist.

Wrap your head around that, and check back tonight! At 8:15pm ET, we get trailer #3, a whopping 3:05 seconds! I'll have it posted.

Also, Man of Steel is going to kick off the Justice League (DC's version of the AVENGERS), which means all of DC's mainstream superheros that never saw the big screen will be jumpstarted. Wonder Woman, Flash, maybe a reboot to Green Lantern, Aquaman, Shazam! Martian Manhunter, ETC.

The new Batman reboot will exist in this new world Man of Steel will create, NOT Nolan's Batman trilogy, which was a world of its own where no other superhero existed. A TON is riding on this new Superman movie for all types of fans........
