TORONTO, Dec. 7 /CNW/ - Former Styx singer, songwriter and producer,
Dennis DeYoung, has been confirmed to perform and participate in a Q&A session
on Thursday, March 2nd in addition to producing genius, Alan Parsons who will
be the focus of a celebrity interview on Friday, March 3rd. Both artists will
be appearing at the Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week Conference being held
at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel (100 Front St. W, Toronto).
In his Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week appearance, DeYoung will be
recreating 30 years of his musical history. DeYoung is the founding member of
the legendary rock band Styx, who have sold over 35 million albums and scored
ten Top Ten singles worldwide such as, "Mr. Roboto", "Lady", and "Come Sail
Away". It was the only band to ever record four consecutive triple platinum
albums.
Famed artist, producer and engineer, Alan Parsons will be sharing the
wealth of his decades of music industry experience in an interview at the
Conference. His work stretches from his earliest days on the Beatles', "Let it
Be" and the brilliant "Abbey Road" albums to the engineering mastermind behind
Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. Parsons became highly sought after
as one of the new breed of creative engineers/producers. His current career
has established him as a renowned composer and touring artist.
