NIG and Sadie, You both are right...The fans these days get carried away and take their competitive spirit way too far...During the World Series, A White Sox fan assulted a Wife of a Houston Astros Player by pulling her hair and yelling obscenities at her...I don't blame the fan base as a whole, but the idiots that would take this type of behavior to this level...Fans shpuld just learn to cheer on their team to win or boo the officials for a bad call and just leave it at that...

It is ridiculous. I know what I saw and heard this weekend is not representational of my whole town, but having 2 friends with me from out of town, I felt like I let them down having them experience that behavior. Totally uncalled for.

Cheer your team, talk some smack, but have a little class. If you lose, take it like an adult. Doesn't seem such a hard concept.

I don't even go to games anymore because I hate sitting around a bunch of drunk, obnoxious fans. I'd rather do that in a bar where the beer is cheaper! :P

Unfortunately...we were in a bar. I did however learn that beer mixed with orange juice actually tastes good...so I suppose something good came from that experience.

I think I handled all those Bears fans pretty good. I let the guy really have it in the parking lot, the one that looked like Steve Dahl and the one that was really rooting for Favre's injuries. I don't think he'll be messing with me or Favre anymore - LOL I warned him I'd tell him all my Styx stories and history for hours - LOL No, actually I did tell him off pretty good.

DeeJay, he really didn't get creamed by the Bears, it was because of his offensive line, I'd get rid of them all!! They get paid all that money and they can't protect their quarterback!! Dammit!! They're lucky I'm not coach, I'd have their butts sitting on the bench every screw up they made and put in the 2nd string to prove a point.

Suite, I don't know about you but those 2 sacks that he sustained didn't look tame at all, especially the one from Mike Brown...Bret got up and it looked like he was in pain...I never seen Bret take a pounding like that...Plus the two intreceptions didn't help matters either...
I agree about the offensive line because if they were doing their job, Bret would have had the protection and that is where he is successful, but give credit to the Bears Defense, they rushed Bret, they hurried him, and sack him when possible...The Defense did their job...

I don't know if anybody noticed, but I was proud of the sportmanship by Bret Favre and certain Bear Players during the game... 8)

NealIsGod says:

You think that's bad, Sadie? My town (Baltimore) cheered in the first game this season when OUR OWN QB went down with an injury!

THAT is bad, very bad!! By the way, Baltimore has a NFL team? Just kidding.

Um, do I really have to publically give any type of credit to the Bears defense??? I know the interceptions didn't help, ACK, not at all. I can't remember seeing Brett taking a pounding like that either.

I think Brett always has had great sportsmanship in football overall compared to some of the other yahoo's there.

Thanks, but no problem at all. I can handle anybody, especially "those" kind of people, those are the most fun.

Ummm, Yes..The Bears went out and did their job...They intercepted Bret twice that turned into 10 points and only allowed 7 points...That's great Defense...

Me too...That is why I do like Bret..He is a great quarterback..He just doesn't have the team players that he used to...

LOL about the Yahoos...There sure are many of them.....

IT'S A MIRACLE!! LOL!!

As far as your betting goes, apparently no ones wants to admit they are a Lions fan. One of my former managers and I bet EVERY year on the Lions/Vikes games. Usually double or nothing after we win. He wouldn't even bet me last weekend! No faith fans up there in Motown. ;)

Oh, did you see the Vikes won too?! FIVE count em FIVE interceptions! :P

(oh and thank you, Steelers!)

Well, when you're defense is rated number one in the NFL and only allow 7 or 8 points on average for the first 13 weeks, then against the steelers the (Bears) defense is missing tackles left and right and gives up 21 points, yea I can say it was the defense or the lack of it....

I knew you would like my "Bearly" comment... 8)

Bears were exposed yesterday.

NO Offence. No playmaking. No way close to Seattle.

Considering the ass kickings Seattle has been dispensing thus far...I'd have to agree.
