I just listened to Cyclorama for the first time in about 8 months. I had forgotten how good this CD is! It keeps getting better with age. I still rank it right along side Grand Illusion and Pieces Of Eight.
Suite, do you like “These Are The Times”? I think it sounds like it’s from Pieces Of Eight. It is the most classic Styx sounding song since the Paradise Theater album as is “One With Everything”. The guitar break in the middle of “Killing The Thing That You Love” is also classic.

The Styx that did Cyclorama seemed like they were really consumed with the idea of putting out material that would be considered acceptable and cool, which made for an album that seemed a little restrained. Dennis didn't care so much what other people thought, and could be a little dorky at times. I think it was this way of thinking that really made Styx what they were in their heyday.
I do agree that "These Are The Times" is a good song, very well written, might just be J.Y's finest.
