So you don't see the divisiveness in his post?

Everything here is subject to how others read it. Every attempt really should be made to ensure that others will not "misunderstand" or "misconstrue" or "misinterpret". And if that were done to the initial post, then the responses to it have been valid.

I did not say I didn't see the divisiveness. I said given the history of the various posters on this forum (both regular and visiting posters from other forums), as well as past differences between them..I could see why he would ask that it not happen again.

That some found his request to be harsh or ill-timed/less than welcoming...again...I chalk that up to peoples own perceptions and idealogies of respect.

And given his history in the Journey forum, I can see that he was just trying to rub our faces in it.

Perception is everything. Perhaps he felt it was warranted. Perhaps you felt it was unwarranted.

I'd say it had merit for both of you.

BTW, I think what Andrew (and even Classic) were trying to say is that Journey forum-goers leave their Journey-related arguements out of the Styx forum.

What I have been saying is that Classic brought his arguments with a few Journey forum regulars (which I am not one of those he has argued with) to this forum with his posts in this thread. It was very underhanded but as far as I see it, that is why it was done...a sorta, "haha, you're forum's closed, bigmouths'. He was, and continues to be with his last post, instigatory. He is bringing his ill will towards a few people in the Journey forum to this forum.

If the rule is as you state, then Classic should be given a vacation. At the VERY LEAST, this thread should be closed. Its presence is going against the very thing Andrew wanted to prevent.

Thats whats great about this place Monker - you don't run this place - Andrew does - so nobody gives a flying horse shit about what you think should be done. You want him banned so damn bad? Go start a forum like this and then ban him.

If Journey folk want to come over here and talk about Styx or Dennis, or Glen or whatever then thats great. But if they're going to be like you and have nothing but negativity and flames to add then all we're asking is for them to find another place to do it.

Am I the only one who thinks it's ironic as hell that some people from the Journey forum are complaining about divisivness?

I really don't think Monker wants Classic banned. He is simply stating that the very thing Classic did is contrary to Andrew's wishes. And Andrew stated that it would result in a holiday.

I do not see any "flames" in Monker's posts in this thread. I know Monker can certainly get into the thick of it about Styx of Journey. But he speaks his mind and is factual. If you disagree that does not mean he is flaming you.

You obviously have not followed my posting habits. Otherwise you would know that I try very hard to ensure that my posts are not misconstrued. And I try to stay respectful of everyone's opinions. So I would suggest you watch where you point your finger.

Furthermore, if you have not followed Classics "conversations" with the Journey members than you do not know of what you speak. Many of us have seen it. Many of us stayed out of it (myself included). But it was something he was involved with and it is something he is continuing with this thread.

Finally, as stated before, I understand the main intention of this thread. I know "you" do not want the behaviours that led to the closing of the Journey forum to affect this forum. I agree with that. I repeat that I make no excuses for what happened over there. In fact, it pisses me off. But for those of us who have witnessed Classics "conversations" with other Journey fans, it is obvious that this thread is not jst to be taken at "face value".

Simmer down, people!! I don't think a little preemptive measure should be such an issue. It's like having a nice house next to a party house and the party house gets shut down. I don't think it's too much for the owners to ask for a little decorum, after seeing what went on next door.

BE NICE NEIGHBORS AND THE COPS WON'T HAVE TO BE INVOLVED! :P

Thanks, Angie. Right on target! :)
