I would love to know about this, too. Equinox is my all-time favorite Styx recording and if the remastered one really is superior, I would probably be interested in buying it.

Allan? Anyone?

isn't that the package they did a few years back? If it is it doesn' sound like it got the full remastered treatment-ERIC

Came out a year or two ago. The company says the 2 on 1 is remastered, but my sources at Uni say the tapes never left the USA. So believe who you want.

Either way, it's not a bad sounding CD, and definitely a bit better than the originals maybe because they re-EQed a bit.

If you can get it for $15-$17, it's not a bad deal. I wouldn't pay much more.

The only true remastering of the A&M years has been on the collections like GH, GH2, and CSA: The Styx Anthology/Gold.

Not Worth It

Postby Grotelul » Thu Nov 09, 2006 3:29 pm

I don't think this CD is worth it unless you don't have either one of them. I didn't think it sounded different enough from the original CD's actually. Slightly better possibly. Little bit cleaner but I was hoping for a boost across the board.
