What Jazz, you don't want to join me for the K-rock show in the afternoon? It says that I can take as many people as I'd like..

Okay.. here's a quick update..

DDY hit the stage at about 1:10 pm at WEM. He had technical problems with his keyboard but was a trooper!

He took a couple of questions from the audience (One being mine!) talked about "the split" and his upcoming album.

He even saw me and said "hey look at this guy, look at that shirt, it's from 1941.. IS that the Pearl Harbour tour?" So how can I not love that?

It was a thrill to talk to him, meet him and get a pic of him too!

So he did during the "mini-show"

Hello God (but technical problems happened and he couldn't go on also by request)

Lady

Then he did a medley of (in no order)

Lorelei
Babe
Mr. Roboto
Best of Times
Come Sail Away

Then the soundcheck.. which Ed's let me walk right in and listen too:

Edge of the Century
Pieces of Eight
Lady
Grand Illusion
Great Balls of Fire
Gonna Have Some Fun Tonight

With bits and pieces of other tunes thrown in..

W're just heading out now to catch the show.. Dennis hits the stage at 10:45ish.

Sounds like it's going to be a 2 hour show.. can't wait!

UPDATE:

Here's the setlist:

Grand Illusion
Lady
Lorelei
Don't Let It End
Show Me The Way (Dedicated to the Canadian/US Military personnel serving in Afghanistan)
Castle Walls
Light Up
Roboto
Pieces of Eight
Desert Moon (Highlight of the night for me, because I hadn't heard it live)
Rockin The Paradise
Edge Of the Century
Suite Madame Blue
Babe
Best Of Times

Encore
Come Sail Away

Good crowd, very loud and all in a good mood!

I was able to give Glen two dvd's of the 1991 tour that I dubbed onto DVD from St. Louis and Dallas, and he signed my "21st Century Live" and Welcome to Hollywood disks.

A bit of quirky info:
Dennis's album has now gone Double Platinum In Canada according to K-rock.
Dennis's only GOLD "solo" award was from Canada (this I did not know) for Desert Moon.

Photos coming soon..

Special thanks to Tim Orchard (Dennis's Manager) and Darlene Check (K-rock DJ) for the chance to meet Dennis and have such a blast!

Now off to bed!

Jodes

Glad you got to meet Tim and talk to Dennis. Tim is one of the most genuinely nice people I think I have ever met in my life. He's a great guy. I'm also glad you had fun at the show.

I, too, heard DDY's works had gone double platinum in Canada.

Jodes, thanks for sharing the pictures!!!!

I love looking at everyone's pictures, seems like you were in the perfect view for the show!! :D

I have 200+ from the last DDY and 200+ plus recordings from the last Styx show. I'll have to put them in a album or something, somehow, sometime.

Jodes, how far are you from Montreal???

Hi Suite,

I'd love to see all the pictures. I'm probably not the only one!!

Edmonton is approx. 4100 kms away from Montreal. Trust me, I thought about driving up there for the November concert!!

Suite..

Think about it this way..

Edmonton to Montreal is about the same distance as say Great Falls Montana is way from New York City..

4100 Km's is about 2545 Miles..

You can do the rest of the math in your head lol..

Um, so, would go to the next Montreal show? LOL Yeah, I'm not the swiftest in Geography, but I somehow get to where I'm going to :)

I'm hoping to fly there depending on when it is. I think that would be a pretty long road trip.
