Is by far one of the best albums from any solo artist.

With that being said, anyone have a link to where i can download it? I always try to download it from BitTorrent but it reaches 42 percent and ALWAYS fails.

Anyone wanna help me out?

Wow, high praise for an album that is panned by many Styx fans as being immature and not cohesive..A few good songs, but "one of the best albums from any solo artist?"...don't think I've ever heard it be described that way..I would argue that its not even one of the best solo albums by TS.

Thats whats crazy about the CD prices for certain ones, its incredible! Glens Heroes to Zeroes runs for almost 50 bucks when i bought it on eBay for a shocking 15 bucks. Dennis' Back to the World and Boomchild can go pretty high while Girls with Guns goes for almost 200 bucks, What If is pretty pricy and Ambition is so-so just because you can get it on iTunes.

Crazy

Yikes!! I didn't know that cd went that high. I just found the LP for $1.99, in great condition.

I just found one of Glen's cds to at a used record/cd store. :D

I'm go every week, it's an addiction. :) It's sad, but in the last few months I bought about 200 cd's, but I'm very happy especially listening to music that has been recommended that I wouldn't normally buy.

If anyone is looking for a specific cd, please let me know, I love looking! It's like a treasure hunt for me :D

I have the original CD and would be more than happy to sell it for 70 bucks.

Very good disc that I like very much. It's 80's and all, but it was a nice effort.

Do have the "cartoon" Styx albums? I found all of them at one store in good condition. I felt like I hit a jackpot!!

I'm on the lookout for Promo albums now :)

Don't have the cartoon albums, those things are silly though. I ordered the first Styx CD from ebay not long ago and i screwed out of it because the picture showed the original artwork and the punk sent me the cartoon one, that set me off!!!

The rarest Styx solo CD still has to be the Japanese pressing of Talking in Code.

The one that keeps eluding me is the CD 5097 US pressing of What If.

Allan :)

Do you have a list of all the different cds? I know we talked about the different pressings of Paradise Theater, I think that's one of them that was discussed. I'll try to find the links later tonight.

I have the CD-3240

Also, which Styx, Dennis, Tommy, Glen and JY cd's are Made in Japan? Do you feel the ones Made in Japan sound better? I know the imported ones are harder to find. (But I did find a few from different artists last week).

They are silly, but fun to have!! I don't have the cartoon cd's, just the albums. I would've been ticked if I was sent the wrong artwork than what was stated!! UGH!

Said list is forthcoming in the overhaul of the site. I have more than I listed on the old site, even.

The original pressing of PT in the USA was the CD 3719, which was the original catalog number of the LP, too. There are a ton of Japanese pressings of most of the albums; Kilroy had 3 in the 80s alone (38XB, D32Y, and the D20Y pressings). PT had the same. Grand Illusion only had 2 Japanese pressings I know of (D32Y and the PCCY from 1990). There are even the Japanese CDs pressed for the European market in the early days (ironically, the only Euro pressing of Kilroy is this one). And so it goes ... this is a topic I can spend a lot of time on. But I digress.

Once CD 3240 rolled around, it was available in various guises. Some were Japan pressed, some were West German pressed, and finally USA made. The Japan pressed actually had the matrix for CD 3719.

All of the Styx solo albums had Japanese pressings (some more than one :P), and some had European pressings.

I'd have to do a true shootout of all of the early pressings, but for the most part my memory tells me most were pretty good. I know the Japan POCM pressing from 1993 of Cornerstone is a tad louder than the earlier pressings. I'd have to compare the POCM pressings of PT and Edge (only 3 in that series) to see if it holds true for those, too.

Actually, the cartoon one is the rarer pressing. It's the only RCA-era album to get a cartoon cover. One Way issued it that way and people bitched, so it was reissued with the original cover.
