Postby Rockwriter » Tue May 22, 2007 1:49 pm

Check this out from Dave Ling's blog . . . scroll down to Tuesday May 15th. Thanks Dave! I only hope the forthcoming review in Classic Rock is written by Dave himself, LOL.

Well, goes to show you people can read a slant into the book even if it wasn't there depending on their coloring of the story.

I thought the term "hero/villain" was quite appropriate, given the context.

On some level, the story is what the story is. Not everything is a matter of opinion.

That's true. I guess it's inevitable that Dennis will be perceived as the "main character" in my book bcause he was so dominant in the prime years of Styx. From there you either like him or don't, lol. But at least Dave picked up on the fact that there's balance in the book as well. I like his line about "Of course you can't make an omelette without cracking some eggs", or however he put it. That's great, so typically British.

Not to bad a review, but yes a definite slant. I can see where a couple of the Styx Managers come across as hero/villans as well. I still see so many parallels to Styx and other major bands like the Beatles in some of the back stage politics and issues.
