Favorite Live Song, Anywhere, Anytime, Any Version of Styx

Postby Grotelul » Mon Jun 18, 2007 4:11 am

My favorite is Too Much Time On My Hands at an outdoor show in 2000 at the Idaho Center Amphitheater. 3rd row, stage right, loud and jacked, crazy crowd....kicked butt up and down.

I kind of dug "Little Suzie" when they performed it back in '96. The classic line up was back playing a "classic" Styx song. Sorry it didn't make the cut on the live album.

Lady - RTP Tour Gorge Amphitheater - Realized I was seeing Styx after all these years!

Brave New World - Gorge, 2000 - Hearing it live for the first time with the extended ending.. WOW

A Criminal Mind - Las Vegas Nevada, 2000 - Hey, I'm Canadian and wasn't expecting it in the US!

Desert Moon - Reds, West Edmonton Mall 2006 - What an amazing song.. 1st time hearing it live in person.

So many others.. so many shows!

Dennis's best live solo show ever,

I am with you on that one, Froy. I think mine would have to be "Best Thing" from that same show. That one shook the rafters and took me to rock and roll church. :)

Queen of Spades in Clear Lake, Ca. in 1997 blew me away. I wasn't expecting it. I went bizerk when Dennis started singing it! The people around me (including my now EX wife!) must have thought I was crazy!!

I don't suppose you have a boot of that show? I was living in Baton Rouge at that time and JUST became a huge Styx fan....AFTER this concert got sold out.

I envy you for being there!

I wish I did. I saw a youtube the other day from the same tour live in Japan. Brought back lots of memories. Wow that show sold out fast.
