Grand Illusion is their best album. But I have to put in a plug for Cyclorama. I also like Equinox, Crystal Ball, Pieces of 8, Paradise Theater and One With Everything

The Wooden Nickel albums are also fun to listen to from time to time.

I absoluteley don't like

Cornerstone
Kilroy
Brave New World

I don't own Edge of the Century

Their covers album has it's moments.

Zan, that's hillarius about JY's response to Kilroy!! That is exactly what I would expect him to say!
Kilroy is not the best Styx album, but it holds a very special place in my heart as well.
It's when I graduated Highschool and got my first car. So It spent a lot of time in my 1981 Datsun tapedeck! Boy, was that car a Piece of CRAP!! But my old Alpine stereo ROCKED!

Yogi, I actually like Cold war, but I do agree with you on Equinox. A true classic. It has been in my Car CD player for the past 3 weeks and I just can't stop listening to it lately. I hadn't listened to it in years. BORN FOR ADVENTURE, BABY!!!!

Overrated? Sure. Most overrated? Nah. Better than anyone who has ever been in Styx? On his good days, 'fraid so.

Just talking lyrics, here. I have no strong opinion on the guy's voice.
