Breaking News

Postby askskeeter » Tue Jun 26, 2007 11:07 am

I just heard from a "good source" that Styx is reuniting. However, the group will no longer be touring under the name Styx. I was told that the new name will be, Dennis DeYoung and the band Styx. All members will be touring together. Dennis, Tommy, Chuck, JY, Todd, Larry, Ricky and Glen. I even heard that they are attempting to get the Contemporary Youth Orchestra to go on tour with them over the summer while the kids are out of school so Dennis would be able to play more of his broadway tunes.

Your right, I did not have anything better to do.

Um. OK. Wow, that took a lot of thought. Come on, you can get more creative than that. Really not saying a whole lot here if you are going for some shock value. Put some more thought into it...

Next year at this time, no one will be talking about Dennis and his new music. He will be doing 15-20 free shows a year like he has been and Styx will be climbing to the top of that mountain again, making their past success seem pale in comparison. It will happen Froy, it will happen. I guarantee it. Yep. There will be a top 10 song written by Gowan, a top 10 written by Tommy. The new CD will sell roughly 6-7 million copies. They will win 3 Grammy's. Dennis will be forgotten as ever being a member of Styx. It will happen Froy, will happen.

I sure hope that was sarcasm. I just saw Rush play to about 18,000 folks, and their new album went to #2. Styx would not be able to play to 18,000 PAYING customers if they added up the attendance from the entire east coast.

I was trying to be like Froy. It's kind of fun to make believe once in a while. RUSH! One month to go for me!
