Backward Satanic Messages

Well not Satanic but there are whispers all over the place.
Like Yogi said in Rubicon I hear The River Styx in the very beginning
I also hear something at the end,

Thats the STYX I remember

This new cd is just amazing
Rain rocks so hard and I Dont Believe In anything is killer
I can see Dennis on the horse with the cowboy hat on on that one,

Dennis with a cowboy hat on?

I thought I was going to see that last year when he played the Cowboys "Event Tent" during the Calgary Stampede (Ya know, the Worlds Largest Rodeo? lol) but alas, he did not put one on.

Although I did chuckle when Dennis said "Never, ever in my wildest Dreams ever think that I would ever hear 3000 Cowboys singing along to Mr. Roboto!"

Man that was such a solid show.. Even the public soundcheck even rocked!

Dennis and Glen need to get back up here to Edmonton.. and the perfect venue is the River Cree Casino "Special Events Center" during the summer. Tickets are all under $40 bucks and if this year is a hit, they will build a Rama like venue is the rumour..

I'm still hoping River Cree is negotiating with Dennis, but there may have been a clause in the last place he played saying that he wouldn't come back in a certain amount of time. Venues in Edmonton are known to do that.

Too bad the Calgary show is SO expensive, I'm sorry I love to see DDY live (even without Glen, although I've been told the show is comparing apples to oranges without him) but $100 bucks? Even with a dinner, that's still $50 bucks too much.

100 bucks for the Orchestra show, okay I could handle, but a club show?

But then again maybe we will hear the NON French 100 Years From Now live..

Sigh.. I don't want to, but I'm going to have to pass this time around.

Not sure about the Satanic messages, but I agree with you on all the other stuff. Rain is a nice rocker, Rubicon is great, and I don't believe in anything is just a fun song.

Somone I work with heard a few of these songs and said that this sounds like Styx music that he grew up with.

Perhaps back in the early 70s when JY's crappy voice couldn't be avoided. Thank god they pretty much relegated him to the backseat once they got popular or he single handedly might have killed the band.

"These are The Times" is a good song. And very Styx. But, for me it's just misses. Not quite shure why?
