"The Grand Illusion" hooked me for good :D

In spite of all of the audition tapes and constant stalking of the band, much to my chagrin, I never could get into Styx

Hi Bugsy,

Nice to see a few people/screen names I recognize ! I've been lurking off and on for a while now.
I'll chime in now and then as time allows, havent had much to say that would have added to the current chatter though.
Catch you later !

Great to "see" you, Classic! :D Hope you do have a thing or two to chime in with when you feel up to it.

If you don't have DDY's new CD, I think you will lika da music on it!

1972 at one of my Dad's railroad convention, I was about 6 years old. For the kids there was a dj that played music, I heard "You Need Love" and totally loved that song and totally loved Styx. I told the dj that I wanted to hear it again, which he played and then he gave me the 45' which I still have. That was the first Styx song that I ever heard and I never turned back. Then I started to hear "Lady" on the am radio out of Chicago and just couldn't believe what a GREAT song that was. It's still my favorite song through the years and even today.

I also remember saving my babysitting money to buy the 45's and then the Styx albums, which I still have, they're all beat up but still play good!! :)
