Stanwood 4 Aug 2007 review

[Diffworlds]

Although I live on the east coast, I happen to be in Seattle this weekend, helping a someone move to that city. So I took advantage and went to the concert site which is about an hour above Seattle. The community fair had some benches and they were full and the area around the benches were filled with people standing. A good turnout but I couldn't tell you how many were there. A responsive crowd and a good show by the band.

The setlist:
1. Burning Heart
2. Take You on a Saturday
3. Poor Man's Son
4. High on You
5. Summer Nights
6. Burning Bridges
7. Keyboard solo/The Search is Over
8. Guitar and Drum intro/Fire Makes Steel (here an ambitious fan got up on stage and Robin was patient, but the fan fell down drunk and was helped off by a police officer. Robin couldn't get back on track until the chorus. The fan continued to fight the arrest during the entire song and the crowd's attention was divided by the fight). I know there will some comments about I'd rather watch a fight then McSurvivor, so go for it.
9. I Can't Hold Back
10. Guitar solo/Eye of the Tiger

I am assuming that Eye was the last song. I had to leave to beat the traffic as I had to get up early the next day. My overview is the band is a good unit. I would rather hear Jimi singing as I grew up on his voice on those songs, but Robin is a talented singer. Once the band gets some songs written for his voice, I think it will be very impressive.

I was there front row. I will write my own review later but this is the most fun I've ever seen the band have. Robin is a true professional and great show! No long Frankie guitar solos but man the boy shredded! I think we saw 2 different shows.

Don't people come to see hits? The set list was fine and non-stop I might add! No long breaks. High energy show from stop to finish. Robin Mcauley is a true showman. No offense to Dave of Jamo but there is no comparison. Robin is very engaging and had a smile on his face the entire show.

Were you at this show? I can assure you Robin does MUCH more than just that. And he does sing pretty well. Why would the crowd hang around if he sang rotten?

Robin was great. Red your wrong if you think it's not important to connect with the audience. By the way he sang great! This was the best performance of Tiger I have ever seen live. It was als great to hear FMS live. He does that one well. Robin bring some things to the table that others don't. You need to go see a show and then you can pop off.

Yahtzee! We agree. I am also tired of Take You on A Saturday. Having said that I can't tell you enough how Fire Makes steel and Eye of The Tiger absolutely friggin' rocked.
