Just thought I would pass along that Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot has died. There is no info as of yet as to how.

He died of an overdose of cocaine. What a waste.

Very sad, but I'd be lying if I said this was unexpected news. It's kinda what I figured. Sad, but on the other hand, death is sad. Does it make a difference whether he died of an overdose, or got hit by a car? Dead is dead.

I think it does yes. For all we pick on Tommy and JY for their drug PAST the key is that as far as we know, it's in the PAST. It's just plain crazy for a 50+ year old man to be speedballing on cocaine. Highway to death right there.

It's admirable for a rock and roller to kick the habbit and stay away from it. Drugs are addicting and that addiction can kill you.

Dead is dead, yes - but a drug addicted death is out of pure weakness. Dying in a car accident - is just that, an "accident".

It doesn't make it any more or less sad. A lot of people loved him - it's just such a waste to go that way.

Not NEARLY that simple, but no, it's not the same as an accident.

That is a real shame...Quiet Riot was huge to me growing up in Florida. The song "Bang Your Head" kicked off all our football Pep rallies...brings back many memories to me...truly a loss.

Always refer to someone who just died as an "a-hole". That's ALWAYS cool. Because you know EXACTLY what the situation was with his cocaine use. You know EXACTLY the circumstances. You know EXACTLY what it was like to be him.
