Wow, it's been such a long time since I listened to JD. What a legend. I wonder what great songs he would of written if he was still with us.

John Denver was a superstar
The guy was loved all over the world
Why the hell did he risk his life like that
Man life is so fragile

Well wasn't he three sheets to the wind before hopping in that plane?

I don't believe he was drunk at the time of his death. He died doing something he enjoyed. That he died so young is sad. That he left such a wonderful entertainment legacy for us is something I am grateful for.

Froy, thank you sincerely for sharing.

Absolutely Sadie.. I was quite stunned when I heard the news as well. I just knew that there were questions after his tragic passing, tox tests, etc.

It doesn't matter now. At least he passed doing something he enjoyed.

I would have loved to have seen him live.

No, he flew his airplane without fuel because of an improper preflight. It's not bashing, it's in the NTSB.

Higgy.. I WAS ASKING A SIMPLE QUESTION, wasn't bashing anyone Jeez. Why did I ask? Because there were a lot of rumours and hearsay when it happened.

I'm glad that he wasn't drunk, but it did sound like there were tox tests and such done after they found the wreckage from what I remember.

Great songwriter as well. I always liked Starwood in Aspen and Follow Me as well.
