What about songs he had a hand in writing, like "I Won't Hold You Back", "I'll Be Over You", or even "Anna"? I've gotten the impression that he's a little resentful(like a lot of rockers) of so many of the softer songs getting the attention.

I've gotta be honest, when Luke or any other musician demean some of the songs that got me into them or that I really enjoy, it really kind of makes me think well what the fuck? It's kind of saying to the fans that loved the song "your taste fuckin sucks and I took advantage of it." My other favorite guitarist, Neal Schon, occasionally has been known to stab at Journey's songs. Not the most endearing thing to do imo.
