You do not replace a dead person
You take over for him..
Dead does not count..

Gowan wins even bigger now..

Well, just one more reason JY wants DDY dead.

This from the guy who thought Jim Morrison could be 'taken over for' and be a huge success.

CHerone replaced Hagar - not Roth. That's why I didn't include him

You didn't specify "replacement of original singer" in the poll. I think Cherone would get my vote too, but I voted for Boston.

Then Burtnick should be removed since he replaced Tommy, who replaced JC.

People like Hagar shouldn't even be considered "replacement singers," as the band had success with him all their own. Not to mention he's a far better singer than DLR. If you're going to include VH, it should be Gary Cherone. He did nothing with the band and that album was pretty shitty. Even still, he's a great singer, just the wrong fit. Even someone as maligned as Gowan isn't in the band to just sing - guy's a great keys player.

Just from this list, I'd have to say Paul Rodgers. Paul Rodgers sucks with Queen, but rocks with Bad Company, Free, and Jimmy Page.

Paul Rogers was great with Queen
Awesome concert

I haven't heard the full album, but the single sounds more like the Firm or Bad Company then anything Queen would ever do.

Worst replacement singer: Brian Johnson

Think about it. can Brian Johnson actually carry a tune? No way! Does this make him a bad singer? Well, if he were in Queen, Styx or Journey then yes. But for AC/DC he is perfect. Try to imagine Brian singing "Come Sail Away", "Don't Stop Believin'" or "Bohemian Rhapsody". It just doesn't work. Now try to imagine Steve Perry, DDY and Freddie sing "Hells Bells" or "Back In Black". It just doesn't work.

So if we are talking based on vocal performance, hands down, Brian Johnson is the absolute worst replacement singer of all time. But AC/DC just wouldn't rock as hard without him now would they :)

It actually sounds like a Paul Rodgers solo project. I think its a good cd, it just doesn't sound like Queen

From Wikipedia....

"Back in Black" is a song by AC/DC (written mostly by Malcolm Young and with co-writer Angus Young), appearing as the sixth track on their 1980 album of the same title, Back in Black.Known for its opening guitar riff, the song was AC/DC's tribute to their deceased former singer Bon Scott. It was a worldwide success, and peaked in the U.S. at #37 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1981 and #51 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. "Back in Black" received the RIAA's Master Ringtone Sales Award (Gold and Platinum) in 2006 and reached 2x Platinum status in 2007.

ABSOLUTELY, Excellent Excellent point Monker!!

It could happen and it did happen.

Being killed by Hunchbacks COUNTS!!!!

It actually counts more(X3), because if you were killed by Hunchbacks you had to have brought that on yourself.

Add to this, most people killed by Hunchbacks usually bring others down with them.

Sometimes its family, but usually its business partners.

Ive seen it happen, and it's NOT pretty!!

There is actually a drug out there that can help prevent this.

It is made by a company called Gowan Pharmaceuticals. I will link their website for you www.gowanworks.com
