Okay, after making this list, it turns out to be bragging for me (ready for the usual non-posters to make their appearance to cut me down) here is my list of just musicians (I'm probably missing a few). I also interviewed a few for my little tv show

I thought we were only supposed to list famous musicians we'd met. ;-)

I've met some stand-up comics like Jimmy Shubert and Gary Valentine (King of Queens), and Eddie Brill, to name a few.

Gary Valentine actually opened for Styx in Sunrise, for their very first show on the Edge tour and was boo'ed off the stage. Styx was advertised as having no opening act, so when Gary came on, he was hated from the get-go. Too bad, he was quite funny. Oh well. I guess there were a lot of asshole Styx fans back then too. ;-)

Comedians never seem to be a good idea to open for a rock band. Back in the day, I saw one open for Toto. His first line was "Hi, I'm Toto...you've been ripped off". Half the crowd (me including) were rolling, the other half booed the poor guy. I saw a magician open for Julian Lennon back in the 80s, that was strange.

Working for radio stations didn't hurt! I've met more musicians because of work than for any other reason. A bunch of them were because Pamela Des Barres is a friend of mine and she knows everybody.

There have been some situations where I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I was standing in front of a bookstore on Hollywood Boulevard, looking in the window, when a guy walked up, handed me a couple of books, and said, "Little Richard would like for you to have these." I turned around, and there sat Little Richard, in the back of a limo that had been pulled over by a cop. Just living in Los Angeles, you never know who you'll see...especially at the airport. I've crossed paths with the likes of Cher and James Brown in LAX.

My most recent sighting was Air Force One. LOL I watched it land last week, and all of us watching were like young girls over the Jonas Brothers. Over an AIRPLANE.

Sigh...maybe it's better that I never meet David Cassidy, if it's going to ruin the huge crush I had on him when I was 11.

My Jon Bon Jovi experience was utterly unremarkable. They played a Mark & Brian show for KLOS, and I was sitting with the band while we waited for the contest winners to be brought in. As I recall, we literally talked about the weather, then later I got an autograph for a friend. Not exactly exciting! Of course, I'd been up since 4 AM and was about to fall face first into my coffee, so maybe it wasn't their fault!

When I said "define famous" earlier, THIS is *famous*

People who can't go the grocery store without everybody recognizing them, or whose names at least are recognizable to almost anybody. (I realize there were some others on the list, like Steven Tyler, for example, who also fall into this category, but I have been amused by some of the names I've seen so far - many on my own list - that had to be EXPLAINED. LOL, NOT really so much with the famousness.) ;-)

Well…almost anybody. The truth is, I had a nice conversation with a lady who parked next to me at a Styx show. Walking to the venue, we chatted about the band and which songs we liked best. When we parted to find our seats, Annalisa asked me, “Uh, you DO realize that was Angie Dickenson, right?” Oops. Color me clueless.

I do know who she is and what she looks like, but I just wasn’t thinking about it. I just thought it was really cool that an older lady liked Styx!
