Half the crowd (me including) were rolling, the other half booed the poor guy. I saw a magician open for Julian Lennon back in the 80s, that was strange.

When I was about 14 my uncle was working as the stage manager for the Michael Jackson VICTORY tour, and my family went to see the second night of it in Knoxville at some huge stadium. The opening act was a juggler from Vegas named Chris Bliss, and he was amazing, but of course everyone hated him. He said his name about a hundred times: "Thanks, I'm Chris Bliss,"LOL. My uncle said Bliss was far more egotistical than any of the Jacksons, which was funny. Hadn't thought of that in years.

Oh wow...I used to do promotions for Chris Bliss shows. He is he most amazing juggler I've ever seen, plus his stand-up routines are pretty funny. I do have to concur with your uncle about the egotism, but he's an excellent performer.
