A posted said that that happened at a recent show. I'm just quoting what I heard. Talk to him about it.
All I know is that it is completely pathetic and unprofessional to use backing tapes to vocals. And it further exemplifies the disgrace that the touring band has become.

And I have no doubt that that is really ALL you "know."

I can only comment on my own experience seeing this band. At the Ryman in support of BBT, there were certainly no triggered backing vocals, nor any triggered keys. If you were going to sing to pre-recorded tracks, I assume those tracks would be in tune, LOL, and Lawrence had some small tuning problems that night. It was live all the way. And as it stands I don't believe this band needs to do that. Styx has always been a band capable of re-producing its recorded work live, in all its lineups. I don't think that changes because of the absence of one person, no matter who that person is.
Now if this were true, which I won't believe until somebody shows me tangible proof, then I would certainly never pay to see the band again, or see it free for that matter. But I'm not worried because I don't believe there's even a small chance this is true.

Have to agree, as much as I'm annoyed by the spinning keyboard I'd rather watch Lawrence than Dennis. I'd rather listen to Dennis but watching him is so painful.
