Happy Birthday Dennis

Despite what a few bathwater drinkers on this list say, you are the reason for a band called Styx's success. Not anyone else. Here's to 63!

I would imagine there are quite a few 63-year old's, especially ones in the music business, who wish they had the career Dennis is having right now. Full of options, outlets for creativity, and, of course, being in demand to bring something you created, or helped create, to life on stage.

Here's to you, Mr. DeYoung, and to many more years of bringing music enjoyment, whatever form it takes, to those who love what you do.

yes happy birthday......but the sad thing is that with dennis and many of my other favorite artists reaching their mid to late 60's it makes you realize that many of them will be drawing their careers to end in the next few years.

i know that 30-40 years ago nobody could imagine rock stars playing in rock bands in their 30's and 40's much less beyond....and we have seen Mccartney and the rolling stones and the who amongst others prove that you can still be a valuable asset even at your twilight age.

but in reality many of these folks I cant see performing into their mid to late 70's........they have to retire at some point I suppose.

guys like david gilmour have claimed that he is kind of done and is mostly retired unless "the urge hits him to do something".

so for me it is kind of sad to imagine no DDY, davild gilmour, roger waters, mccartney and many others that i enjoy a great deal.
