I was hoping the Toto Network would eventually lead to some archival releases via that website, be they downloads or CD's for sale online or whatnot, but it didn't work out that way.

Still hoping someday there will be some kind of "from the vaults" box set with some live stuff, outtakes, etc. The fact that there is so little live material with Jeff on drums legally available is a travesty.

Such as Bobby's backing vocals being left on "Stranger In Town" and the song "Right Part Of Me" which was recorded in 1984 so I'm assuming it was meant for Isolation but left off. I know he only sang a third of the album before leaving but I would still LOVE to hear those songs! I'm assuming he sang "Lion" "Endless" and "Isolation" before getting fired.

It's just cruel that the band is keeping this from the hardcore fans. Bobby and Dave both expressed interest in releasing the songs but Luke revealed in an interview years ago that he's against it and won't let it happen. I can't see the harm in just putting the songs on the website.

I believe there are no songs of any condition worth releasing. No complete set of vocals and only 1 track demoed with Bobby on lead.

I know there was a demo of Angel Don't Cry with David Paich on lead vocals. Having heard that, I don't really know what earned Fergie a co-writing credit...

As for the Toto Network, I was in the end very disappointed with that as well. Nothing came of the media part of it, and these days it's just a complete and utter chaos which I don't really even visit.

I've heard many differing accounts over the years, but never one that low - IIRC Paich said they'd got about halfway through before the change and Bobby claimed to have recorded 6 tracks and to have been in possession of the tapes (presumably a copy rather than the masters???)...hard to know what to believe really - either way I believe 'Endless' was written after Fergie joined, Paich refuted Luke's assertion that he'd only written it in order to have a song Fergie could sing in tune, but not that it came from that period. But this is all half-remembered stuff from the OLD Toto board going back 5 years or so, so not to be taken as gospel!

The only way we'll know is when someone (preferably the band) opens up the archives a bit.

Other thing to remember is each person might have different opinions of what constitutes a "track." There may be only one or two 'finished' songs with Bobby singing, but Bobby may be thinking of some kind of rehearsal/pre-production recording. Their memories are all a little fuzzy, i'd imagine  and I doubt they spend their spare time going back and listening to old recordings of themselves for no reason.

And now, Andrew is giving another completely different answer. Andrew, what you just posted is completly different from the 3 different accounts that Dave/Luke/Bobby have given over the years. So who is telling the truth?

Just passing on my info....
