In reality, people posting on Styx's Facebook page is mainly going to be groupies. On YouTube your going to get people for and against then their groupies who are going to be biased. IMHO, I couldn't give a shit what people say on both sites.

I think the You Tube commnets are fair they are just responces to the video shown.
Most of Gowans Styx commets are terrible.

Amen. The silly bickering is mindless and seems endless, and it gets old. And what's with the continuous pigeon and sheep references? My 10 & 11 year old boys don't squabble like that.

I happen to think Gowan is a mistake - a big one. But it's the result of many issues (on both sides) and the collateral damage. I too long for that past, and new music. But I'm also resigned now that it ain't going to happen. So, even though I fundamentally agree with Froy with my dislike of Gowan (the mangler, and a wrecker of classic Styx songs), BabyBlue is permitted to like him, even if it is creepy stalker kind of devotion (and it pains me to admit that).

Does anyone know if the PO8 and GI show is coming to the Philly area? In spite of my general dislike of Gowan, I might want to see them. I still enjoy their overall body of work.

Also - I haven't been to a Styx show since EOTC. Would it be inappropriate to take my boys? Does anyone ever see kids there?

Heck yeah you'd be surprised at all the young people at their shows. Anyway there are no philly dates but they are going to be in erie, pa on 11/5.

Now I'M in trouble! : ). I'll give you some credit - You are certainly passionate and consistent, if nothing else. Don't give yourself a heart attack though. On another topic, you seem to be a Supertramp fan (is that right?). Have you heard if they will have a US leg to their upcoming tour? They don't seem to have much of a following left here in the US. I saw their Some Things Never Change tour (yes, w/out Hodgson), and I thought they were incredible. Not much of a stage show, but their quality was great, and the replacement (think it was Mark Hart) was not bad at all. While I'd love to see Hodgson back with them, I feel that's as likely as DDY.....well, you know.
