Gowan is doing more solo shows

I wonder if it's a sign of anything to come. I don't think Styx will ever commit to the kind of touring schedule that they've had for the past ten years again. They've over saturated the market. Now Tommy is doing bluegrass, Lawrence is bringing his solo career to the front burner, and JY will collect social security

Means nothing really. Slowing down some yeah but most likely they will still do close to 100 shows a year.

I don't think that the demand for them will support 100 shows a year. Unless they play 250-500 seat clubs.

Both those dates are in March which is the same time Tommy is scheduled to release the Bluegrass record. Maybe they are taking a short break to let him promote the new record ???

After the last UK gig, there doesn't appear to be any sign of Styx hooking back up with Journey and Foreigner. Those two bands are slated to perform together in Italy, Norway, Germany, and a few other spots in Europe.

Doesn't make sense they would tour with Foreigner. They did that last year. New Summer tour info coming soon according to their Facebook page. Let's hope it is someone they haven't beeen with for a while.

If you go to The Time's website it has Styx touring with Morris Day & The Time, Loverboy, & The Gap Band.

The tour is called Rock and Soul 2011 starring Morris Day & Styx. Featuring: The Gap Band and Loverboy. The tour starts July 6 in Minneapolis and has over 40 dates.

I actually heard a "Styx and YES" tour rumor from a very credible source...
surprising double bill there.

Saw Yes with opener Peter Frampton a few summers ago at the Greek. What was cool was that Trevor Rabin came up on stage and jammed with them a bit also (He lives in L.A. and has had a killer second career doing movie soundtracks).
