I agree that Chuck should be thankful that Dennis made him rich, but where in that article did he say anything bad about Dennis???

The new company line about "how difficult Dennis is to work with" and how a reunion won't happen - interesting that 6 months ago or so he discussed how he really hoped that a reunion could happen "before anyone else passes". I guess Pinocchio and Brusco threatened to cut him off if he didn't change his tune.
The erasure of all things Dennis from the website is also completely absurd.

Give it a rest. Since Dennis was ousted we have had: Bill Clinton's impeachment trail, Two terms of George W Bush, 9/11, 2 Wars , Our First A Black President, 11 World Series, The Red &White Sox winning the World Series, 11 Super Bowls...................................................... etc............... etc........................................
Dennis & Styx are both happy.
As MUCH as I would love to see them back together in the SAME band lets give it a rest and let it all play out the way that the players want it to.
In the meantime they can hook up together in seperate bands and play back to back to back to back triple platinum albums.
My idea RULES!!!!!!

My take on it is this:
Tommy, Chuck, JY, and John just wanted to drink/do cocaine/have gay sex/have straight sex all the time. Denins had a work ethic and probably tried to instill a work ethic in the other four guys, and that's why they hate him so much. They would have gotten nowhere without Dennis...he was the only one in the group with a sound mind and a bit of sense. Notice how quickly their creative effort collapsed after Dennis was ousted.
Don't try to use Cyclorama to prove me wrong. Those songs were written over the span of at least ten years. These Are The Times was originally slated for the Return To Paradise CD

Well, at least we know Tommy wanted to live in the party fast lane. Even some of his close friends remarked "Tommy didn't just burn the candle at both ends, he threw it in the fire". His party and drug habit had to have a negative effect on the workings of the band and how the members interacted. Dennis frowned upon drug use by the time TS joined the band. I'm not sure how John's drinking affected the band during their hay day. This is why I don't believe the "Dennis was the problem and the only problem" theory.

I mean really. Gowan sounds NOTHING like Styx and the fact that he gets to go around and say he is in Styx and Dennis Cannot is just a friggin joke.
I love Tommy, JY and Dennis together, but at this point, and with all that those guys have said about Dennis, I'm happy with Dennis' new band and am starting not to care if they ever reunite. I just wish Dennis had the Styx name and the other guys didn't. It's very misleading to the common clueless boneheaded fan who goes to see Styx open up for Yes or REO or whoever the Fu*k they are opening up for these days! They think they are seeing Styx but they have no idea what Styx really is/was. Seriously. If you are in your 40's, and remember Styx fondly, but have never seen them Live, and the first time you see them in concert you get to hear Gowan sing Come Sail Away??? I mean Come on! That's not Styx. It's just not. And I don't care what anybody says.
Anyway, I'm done taking sides. For the record, my side is this. I love the Dennis/Tommy/JY/Chuck/John version of Styx. That's Styx.
For those of you who like the new version I'm reasonably sure it's because you have never seen the real Styx live. But if you like the band the way it is good for you. Enjoy. I'm happy Tommy, JY and Chuck can continue doing what they love. But after seeing both bands the way they are now I have concluded that the Dennis version is way more Styx-like than the Gowan version. In fact it's not even close.
Maybe I would feel differently if I were a "new" Styx fan. But I doubt it. I discovered these guys in the Wooden Nickel Years before anyone on the West Coast had a clue who they were. And Dennis was the core reason I was drawn to them.

I've always thought that. Anyone who prefers the current version of Styx wasn't a fan of them before the lineup change... plain and simple. If they say they were... they're lying.

Give it a rest. Majority rules...Tommy, JY and Chuck decided to move on without him. They did it legally. It's time to move on Goph.
