The "new material tank" for this band run dry a long, long time ago. Not even vapors exist in it. Even Dr. Arpad Vass wouldn't be able to pick up the existence of song vapors in that tank.

ANd the great Styx dewfender comes out again. First, that is one song in 5 years? Second, if DDY had written and sung that song, you'd be busting his balls for yet another "ballad".

First, point is, Boom Boom is wrong. That is fact.

Second, I have neither said I love or hated "Difference in the World". I like it, but don't love it. It doesn't matter who is singing it...but I do think it fits Tommy's vocals best. If DDY were singing it, I doubt I would say any more or less about it then I already have.

Third, my complaint about Dennis is that ever since Babe, he seems to feel the need to write that same style of song over and over again, AT LEAST once per album. THAT is what is boring about it, not just that it is a ballad. I have the same complaint about Journey's TBF, Revelation, and somehat on Eclipse, where songs all start sounding the same. But, at leat the style changed from album to album.

Though I'd agree Dennis can go to the well a few too many times as far as simlar type ballads go, I don't necessarily put Best of Times in that mold. It's a ballad... yes, but not from the same vein as a First Time or a Don't Let It End.

Perhaps that style comes naturally to him. He seems to lean toward the ballads overall. Never bothered me. Except for when he seemed to use the word Paradise all the time.

I like a lot of his ballads including Paradise (though I think a piano would have worked better than that particular keyboard sound). Don't Let it End is another great one along with While There's Still Time. He is very talented in that style and among others obviously. Songs like Pieces of Eight and Crossing the Rubicon are my favorite type and although they may be slow... they are not ballads.

Still no sign of it online outside of Styx's site. So laughable. Probably still at 20 copies sold.

I read on another blog over the weekend that apparently, Regen 1 & 2 are going to be combined as a 2-disc set for sale together outside of concert venues. No release date was given.
Sometimes it makes no sense at all.

He must have because archetype continues to comb the web for any sighting of it. He has made it his life's ambition to find a single trace, a cover photo, a single note and yet he has found nothing! I think we should all take a moment to say thank you to him for his service. THANK YOU! and again I say THANK YOU! Salute!

Wow, Regurgitation is already here and gone. Not surprising. Maybe their next release will be a full album of new material. Oh wait, pigs would have to fly first or as JY would put it "When their playing hockey over the river Styx". 8)

I know what "the best version of Styx ever" isn't good at...

Doing what they wanna do,when they wanna do it,and making a tidy living
while doing it.Not waiting for prima donna arse face Dennis to dictate
what he wants, when he wants it.
And at the same time pissing off a handful of twats who's yammering endlessly over everything they do.
They are doing it just for you wankers so they can have a good laugh reading about you.
Keep up the good work.
