TO- Dream Theatre About to Rock Texas

Postby yogi » Sat Oct 22, 2011 1:42 am

Dream Theatre hits Texas next week to support A Dramatic Turn Of Events. I am sooooo pumped to be seeing them for the first time in Grand Prairie, TX( Fort Worth). They play Houston on Tuesday, Austin on Wednesday & Grand Prairie on Thursday.

All the reviews I have read say the concert is INCREDIBLE. I am soooo glad they are coming to Texas!!!

Mike Mangini definitely hit the ground running. I'm glad that Dream Theater's doing so well and the fans seem to have accepted the lineup change.

They landed the perfect drummer for them. He's technically phenomenal and wants to be in the band.

It is a VERY good show. It is full on intensity from start to finish. I'd see this tour in a minute if they come through this area again.

I actually considered seeing them in Clearwater FL last weekend. The new album is fantastic. Mangini is doing the unthinkable.

So jealous. It's definitely the next show I have to see.

I just saw Lindsey Buckingham and had second row seats. It was awesome!

Why kinda venue? Arena or theater?

Verizon 6,700 seat indoor arena in Grand Prairie, TX. It is located between Dallas & Fort Worth. Its 3 hours from the house.

I am about as pumped to see this concert as I was to see Styx @ age 13, in 1978, Main Event Tour @ the Minnesota State Fair. My 12 year old daughter is going and she is as jacked up about the show as I am.

We are leaving in about 2 hours

GREAT!!! Without a doubt the BEST concert I have ever been to.

Every member is the best at what they do.

Even got World Series updates from John throughout the concert. If there was one complaint it is that they could have done a few more songs during their acoustic set. Would have loved to heard Far From Heaven. Still outside of the Rangers losing it was a perfect night.

They are the BEST band out there.

Far From Heaven is a great song and it shows what they can do without Portnoy's influence. I think they're thriving now because of it, especially in a live setting. I bet he regrets his decision to quit so much that it eats him up inside.

The Rangers had it, they had it. I'm not a Rangers fan, but I hate the Cardinals. I knew that once they gave away game 6 that they would get shelled in game 7. Losing game 6 took all the wind out of their sails... figuratively speaking.
