After completing 110 shows in 2026, we’ve felt something powerful happen within JOURNEY. Playing two and a half hours each night in our “Evening with JOURNEY” shows—the longest shows we’ve ever played—has brought us closer together, both musically and personally.
Our fans have touched our hearts and helped pull us together. Your love, energy and passion for this music have reminded us how much we still share and how much this journey means to all of us.
What began as “The Final Frontier” now feels more like “The Long Goodbye.” We’re letting our hearts—and the connection we feel with you every night—help guide what comes next.
Thank you for standing with us, singing with us and giving us so many reasons to keep playing. This journey belongs to all of us.
With love and gratitude,
Neal Schon Journey Founder

For all the negative stuff discussed in this forum, it appeared to me this band could easily go another several years if they wanted.

In my little mini-review of the October show I saw, I said:For all the negative stuff discussed in this forum, it appeared to me this band could easily go another several years if they wanted.
They packed the arena. The crowd was super into it. More than I've seen in any of the other post-Perry shows.
Money. Money is your answer.

OlHoag wrote:Why don't they go out on a high note? The arenas may be full, but a large number are there to see the "last Journey Show" in that location. A "We really mean it this time, Final Farwell Tour" will not draw like this one did. I know several fans personally that spent the big bucks to for VIP tickets because it WAS going to be the last tour. They won't do that again.

Or did I miss some huge cultural moment where "Wheel In the Sky" was prominently featured in an episode of Greys Anatomy and suddenly made the band a major draw?

If they truly take a year off, I hope they create something. I remember at one point that Journey Through Time was supposed to release new music. What happened to any of that? Cain says he has "secular" songs sitting around. He previously said he wrote a new Journey single "This Town" in 2024 and was waiting for the band to accept it. There is stuff there - even if it's just an EP.

Have to create new music. Absolutely.
