Yogi says:

On another TOTALLY different note, read Dennis's wifes response to a posters questions. The question I am referring to she goes on &on & on & on about certain songs Dennis now performs. Lady is her favorite. One song she states she never really cared for is Best Thing. She goes on to stated that she hopes one day JY and Dennis can get back together to rerecord this song. This read is very interesting. To me she sees JY in a positive light. She never talks about Tommy. I wonder if she sees Tommy as the real problem????? Many of you slam JY HARD, I am sure she reads the same articles. To me she comes off JY friendly, and maybe anti Tommy. Shes a GREAT read, maybe I will purchase her book. I actually enjoy her writing!!!!

Yogi, I took your comment off the other post to comment on it here (I don't want to offend anyone). I just read her update on the site, I thought it was very interesting. To me after reading it, she came off very JY friendly too. I agree with you.

On the OTHER hand, Tommy had nothing to do with "Best Thing"
so why would he be involved in a re-write or re-recording of the song other than to do JC's parts ?

I've often wondered if the rift is stronger between Dennis and JY or Dennis and Tommy......I wonder if Suzanne would address such a blunt question ?

Hmmmm.........

I read her comments. My own opinion is that she is trying to remain neutral as she realizes it's best for the fans. I don't claim to have any true idea of how she feels, but I do get a sense from JY's interviews that even if Dennis were agreeable to such a deal, JY would not be. At least not right now.

I've often thought the rift between the men in the band was primarily between the main 3 for different reasons. Just my thoughts no flames intended.

Sadie

(and Yogi, I've read her book. Truly, I don't think you'd like it. But I havea great deal of respect for her to have written it). :)

On the BTM episode she didn't seem very Tommy friendly... Even that little hug in Dennis' driveway looked forced. I will tell you what I think but only if you ask... 8)

I agree with Sadie here. Suzanne sounded positive and that is the classy way to be, as far as I am concerned.

My feelings about JY is if his world started falling in on him once again, he would run back to Dennis for another opportunity to perform and be in a band. Right now, he has a "home" in the current lineup of Styx. This seems destined to last for quite some time, give or take a few different members coming and going.

It is nice not to see someone throwing barbs at one another. It is obvious that JY was the one that took this whole mess personally. And it appears at least Suzanne has put this behind her.

It looks like she holds some hope that there can be some reconciliation between the guys and I guess long term that is what we can all hope for. Tommy has said in an interview that he thought it might happen but it would take some time to heal the wounds. But JY has said he can't see a time when it would happen. Looks like the ball is in JY's court.

I think it is nice for Suzanne to take the time to answer questions from the fan base. Cudos for her to step up and address the fans!!!

Classic,

You are 100% correct, Tommy didnt have anything to do with the orginial recording of Best Thing. John C. did, and Tommy replaced him in Styx. Tommy also had nothing to do with Lady, but when it was rerecorded he had to be there being a member of Styx.

I just found it interesting that she talked about JY & Dennis getting together to rerecord this song and Tommy who is also a vocalist in Styx is never mentioned. It is a Styx song. Maybe I read too much into her post, but I dont think so.

Things may have changed by now, but some of us a couple of years ago saw Suzanne make a face, and not a good one, when someone mentioned JY's name.
