Is the medley (mentioned in another topic) going to be a studio or a live version? Does anyone know? I, for one, think it would be a most excellent addition to the next studio release, considering that most people that hear it are likely fans of the new lineup. I am also intrigued at the thought of a refined studio version, as well; that would be somewhat unique and cool.

I am pretty sure I read on Styxworld that they recorded it in concert.

Here is what Tommy wrote about the two recordings:

Most of us drove to Los Angeles after the show last night and will spend the afternoon in the studio remixing a live recording of our STYX Medley we recorded live recently. Already stations in Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco and Chicago are beginning to play our live recording of "I Am The Walrus" and we look forward to also offering them the medley soon.

Both are live recordings it seems.

I would not mind hearing what they now call the Styx Medley. All those great Dennis DeYoung songs........

Last Time I saw them, these were the songs they were including.

Put Me On,
Light Up,
Mademoiselle,
Heavy Metal Poisoning,
Midnight Ride,
Crystal Ball,
Shooz,
Queen of Spades,
Great White Hope,
Half-Penny Two Penny,
Borrowed Time,
Superstars,
Mr. Roboto,
Rockin' the Paradise,
Castle Walls,
Man In The Wilderness,
Put Me On,
Grand Finale.

Sing for the Day replaces Crystal Ball when they do the longer shows. Some songs are in for only a few seconds others are in for a minute or so. Its basically the choruses of the songs.

I haven't heard the version of IATW they released to the radio stations. I know they mixed it while they were in Oregon, but don't know whether it was a live mix or they recorded it there.

Tommy also mentioned that they now have a recording studio traveling with them so they can record the shows or new material as they have the opportunity or desire.
